That is your rule, not God's He says read His word, and believe. Why would I listen to your little tin pot rules? Ridiculous. It isn't one of your silly little textbooks, you know, save your rules for them. The bible and God are exempt! We may read at leisure, and believe, and consider it the best evidence available to man. Thats the real rules. Unless you have some evidence they were liars, or God is not real-that would be different. As it is, it is the default! People around here flout it about all the time. I might as well give er a whirl. They claim that a past they dreamed up and cannot be evidenced is a default, and they have no burden of proof to support it. So I guess I can claim that the bible was inspired as a default! With the addition of the spiritual in the world, many things were different. With no decay, for example, radiation would not exist as it is now. Even things from the heavens, like cobalt rays, etc.

Add to this a different atmosphere, and many other things, and the result is lifespans were in the order of 9 1/2 centuries. Since the world is only 6000 years old, with men living near a thousand years, if not for the split, Adam would only be 5 generations or so away from us!

We know it moved, and on a grand scale, it really isn't a mystery about that. In a world that was spiritual, we do not know exactly how it worked, except for some clues. For example, no radioactive decay. Some have theorized that there were layers. For example I have heard an idea that there used to be a spiritual level up above the clouds, for the spirits. At the time of Babel, they tried to build up to it, it was thought in this idea! Remember, this was before the split, so who knows. I don't. By this same token, one could imagine a spiritual layer below the earth. It is a known biblical fact that this is true. Where, we don't know, but of course Jesus went down and preached to some inmates there, and He wasn't hallucenating!
Let's say it was about the depth of the continental plates, being spiritual, it would not be subject to physical only laws, friction, etc. That is an example to try to wrap our minds around the concept. Exacly the properties, whether there was levels, etc. we do not know. But the properties of spiritual/physical are far far different than physical only, it is safe to say!
