As long as women are at church to praise the lord why does it matter what they wear just as long as it does not become a distraction!

It seems what is a distraction to some is not to others!

For awhile I went to a church where everyone, it seems, used to go to Holiness or UPC churches. All the women had long hair, or they were 'bun ladies"!! They wore long sleeve dresses that went to the ankles....even in the summer.... (as Jesse Duplantis would say "Is an ankle or elbow really gonna turn me on??") ^_^

Anyway, I wear mostly business attire to church.....nice suits, skirts to the knee, or pants. Well, one day I got a call from the pastor....seems a lady called him complaining about the way I dressed! She wanted to institute "lap cloths" so that "risque" women like me would cover up! Long story short, the pastors said they had NO problem with my attire and thought the women of the church could learn from me.....so I ended up counseling with this women and was able to help her not be so prudish....and full of religiosity.

Side note.... seems many of the women who dress so covered-up also are very heavy....like they are hiding under all that clothing. To me, seeing a 300# woman squeezed into a dress with fat rolls showing is just about as immodest as seeing some leg.

 yeah, heavy women "hide" under their clothes... because it IS a distraction, especially for people who judge those who are heavy. they just sit and stare and think what a pig... so what is a heavy woman to wear??? anything that fits! and being squeesed into an ill fitting and highly unflattering dress just to suit some dress "code" is just plain mean. grrr.
