Question

I have a question for you all. About a week ago thursday I went to church and someone came and prayed for me and they said that I had lost my faith and I dont understand what that person means and I had sent an email to my pastor and pastor's wife and no response. The very same night someone else came up to me and said I have a doubting Problem. I am so tired of getting treated like this in the church. My Pastor told me one time if you thinkk your going to have a problem or you do have a problem dont come. SO I basically dont go to church. He doesn't want his other church memebers to see it when I am having a problem. Can anyone give an insight as to what this person could have meant that I had lost my Faith. I do have Bipolar II disorder.

First of all welcome
I just got suspended from my church because Im afraid of people and so never talked that supposably caused tention and what not its in my blog. Christians arn't supposed to treat eachother that way, Jesus spent alot of time teaching and leading by example as to how we are supposed to treat eachother. I would say unless the Holy Spirit speaks to you directly on this or God than blow them off because not everyone hears from God as they claim and I promise I do not mean this in a judgementel way I just don't know how to put it in proper words. Again Im so sorry and I do sypathise with you and for you as Im going through this now, it happened to me 3 weeks ago. I really hope this helps

Yes somehow people think we can bring on faith, hope and assurance by ourselves and such are not gifts of God.

There are people in my Church who claim such things but your circles are know for this type of reasoning. Please know that faith is a gift of God, while bi-polar has been designed by the opposition to hurt an trial us in our faith.

Please don't go doubting your faith when you get unwell again, for this is usually the end result of unkind Church responses to mental illness.

People who don't understand Bi-polar very well but think they got the answers will talk to you like that, blaming you for being sick, it is best to forgive them for they don't really know what they are doing.

Hi..

I second everyone here dont let others tell you where your faith is.. Thats to you and you alone to know where you are in your walk..Some times the Holy Spirit revels and you must back it up with scripture and your own heart.. I also agree many churches today do not know how to deal with bipolar and other issues..Mainly due to just being ignorent or just dont want open their wee little minds to the possibility to help and mayabe learn something?

So just discern whats said and pray for a better home church.. I pray you find peace with this...
