I've been seeking for the correct denomination and even trying to figure out things about Christianity. So, that's why my icon has changed from Christian to Seeker. I don't think I've really been a Christian by the Bible's standards. Anyway, here's the question.

Sexual Purity

How can you resist something physical by a spiritual means? It seems like multiplying apples and oranges.
knowing that something displeases God is a great motivator...not that our will is perfect...(the flesh is very weak)...but once you realize that you are on the wrong path(thinking or doing) stop and repent...try, try, try!!!

in His service

There is a scriptural truth that addresses just this question. The verse I'll pick to explain is this:

Hebrews 8 Read This ChapterGEN -> Study Notes on 8:10
WES -> Notes on 8:10
8:10 "FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

God had promised to write His laws, His will for us on our hearts and minds. Trusting in Christ for just this is how our will, our thoughts, our desires, our character is changed from within, spiritually. God changes us from within, not through our self will.

Sometimes this change is dramatic and overnight. Other times it happens over a long period of time. Either way it is a promise made to us by God, He will do it.

Let me ask you, what do you think it takes to be a Christian by the Bibles standards? Do you believe in Christ, that is the Son of God and that He offers salvation based on what He did? Do you believe He is alive today, and spiritually inwells you so you will never be alone?

If so, you are a Christian. Trust in Him and you will become assured of this fact.
