I've herad the saying, "Life on this planet is but a blink of the eyes." Where did that saying come from. I checked a couple versions of the bible and can't find it any where. Can anyone help me out???

... but using Google, there are lots of secular quotes are like that, mostly on scientific web sites.

There are several Biblical passages that echo the same sentiment, though, like Isaiah 40:6-8 and Psalm 90:10.
