You suggested or advised the poster to try talking with and helping the couple "to not divorce." Then you said you didn't suggest/advise the poster to do something.

Please make up your mind.

Ah, I was unaware that I was communicating under legalist confines.
I was also unaware that I was on trial here.
If you wish to force my suggestion to consider an action (any action) under prayer and in faith with the Holy Spirit an order to go forth and do "because I said", that is up to you and we can pacify this with a simple "I'm sorry that I wasn't clear enough for understanding".

Such an easy remedy, don't you agree?
