There's nothing wrong with my faith, and I don't look to science for salvation. And a lack of faith is similar to lacking the appropriate number of legs on a stool you try to sit on. You end up butt-hurt in the end when science cannot save you.
Proving a negative, are they? The problem is that the evidence shows that they event never happened. Not last century, not during the 6th dynasty, not ever.
And no plants either, right?TagliatelliMonster said:If it happened, at any time, there should be a universal genetic bottleneck.
I don't really understand what a bottleneck is ... and don't really care.TagliatelliMonster said:But there is no such bottleneck. Therefor, it never happened. It really is that easy.
I'll pass.As I said... if you are going to make such unfounded assumptions, you might as well start arguing for Last Thursdayism.
I'll pass.TagliatelliMonster said:If these are the standards you are going to employ to justify belief, then you'll believe just about anything anyone's imagination can produce.
I'll pass.TagliatelliMonster said:That's fine off course... Believe whatever you wish.
I'll p... wait a minute ... I have Boolean standards that justify "my beliefs."TagliatelliMonster said:In such case though, obviously you don't care about rational justification for your beliefs.
In that case, I should be easy to find, eh?TagliatelliMonster said:As for me, I'll shelve you in the tin-foil-hat category.
Then I'm Genghis Khan.

don't really understand what a bottleneck is ...
for the record, I'm sure God could handle any roadblocks that came along.
This question is assuming evolution is true
Note: A local flood position would not have this problem since other humans and animals could survive where there was not a local flood.
The local flood theory is complete bunk. Noah took about 120 years to build the Ark. In a period of 120 years, Noah and his family and all of the animals in that area could have certainly gotten out of the area, so there was have been absolutely no need to build an Ark.

Christians held the view of a stationary earth which they derived from the scriptures, it was the scientific meathead that disproved it. Galileo was exiled by the inquisition for his findings.LOL
Where did that come from!?
Question: Does academia say that the Bible speaks of a flat earth, as well as heliocentric?
Let's put it this way: no evidence they're willing to accept.
I don't really understand what a bottleneck is ... and don't really care.
It was probably dismantled to make Noah's homestead.
At the expense of sounding repetitive, they're not finding it because they don't have the proper starting point. It's actually searching for the evidence of a global flood and all the signs shows that no such event occurred,....from geology to genetics,...everything that should show up if a global flood did happened shows otherwise....
Then where did this come from?JD16 said:Not unless Noah had a seed bank on board the Ark,....which even the bible didn't mention IIRC.
Thank you. That explains it.JD16 said:* image of bottleneck *
I suppose -- but the answer should fit the Scriptures whenever possible.JD16 said:Come on,...the Goddidit answer can be used for any question rite?
He needs to learn to capitalize his last name.
Was this claim tested?Therefor, what is claimed to have happened, didn't happen.
I asked about flat earth and a heliocentric earth -- not a stationary earth.Question: Does academia say that the Bible speaks of a flat earth, as well as heliocentrism?Christians held the view of a stationary earth which they derived from the scriptures, it was the scientific meathead that disproved it. Galileo was exiled by the inquisition for his findings.
No argument there.Jolly good. YECs can now desist from making repeated claims to have found it.
At the expense of sounding repetitive, they're not finding it because they don't have the proper starting point.
They are looking for a global flood on a planet they think is populated by Mesopotamians, Sumerians, Egyptians, and Chinese; then wondering why they can't find anything.
Then where did this come from?
Genesis 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
It's clear to me that God re-floraled the earth in a moment of time; just like He floraled it during the creation week.Thank you. That explains it.
I suppose -- but the answer should fit the Scriptures whenever possible.
If not, then it should fit science, as long as it doesn't contradict the Scriptures.
My Boolean Standards:
My Prime Directive: Under no circumstances whatsoever is science to contradict the Scriptures.
- If the Bible says X, and science says X -- go with X.
- If the Bible says X, but science says Y -- go with X.
- If the Bible is silent, but science says X -- go with X.
