if you're an introvert & able to work from home or a sahm like me,
what if you're liking the stay-at-home orders?

what if you like it so much, you could stay home indefinitely?
OR am I the only one who feels this way?

as a Christian, is it wrong to stay home & not go anywhere?

It doesn’t really make a difference to me either way, as I have been a recluse for the past decade anyway. Though it would be nice to go out to the park or something, without fear of an Orwellian boot being shoved into my neck because I didn’t comply with The Rules.

I wouldn’t say it’s wrong to be a hermit. There are tons of ancient Christian hermits. Though spending too long in self-isolation can negatively affect the brain and one’s state-of-mind.

Some ppl's situations have not changed a lot.

Acts 2.42 presupposes identifying with other believers in one way or another; circumstances greatly differ from person to person and place to place, of course.

I am in introvert heaven.

I'm pretty sure it's acceptable, as a Christian, so long as I don't pass by a good work. Opportunities to be of some use to others still occur.

I feel the exact same way you do. I love being home all the time and away from people....whether there's a serious virus on the loose or not. Just the way I am. Doubt I'll ever change.

I don't see the harm.
Just don't go too far out.

I am an introvert, and I love it, so far. I have wanted to be able to earn a living solely from home for a long time.

As far as being a hermit, I guess that would depend on what you mean. In my opinion being a hermit is an unhealthy thing, whereas being an introvert is a different type of personality that is healthy but takes socializing in small quantities.

Introverts do still need human interaction and even enjoy it, just in smaller doses than extroverts. Interacting with other is a mental and emotional drain for introverts, and it exhausts us. So, while we need it and like it, we have to be able to rest from it. For example, going to church is one of the most exhausting things I ever do. It's just too much. I'm literally wiped out from it.

I would never give up going out to do things though. Getting groceries, running errands, going to school meetings, lunch or coffee with someone from time to time, are all socially necessary things. Anyone who does not have some form of social interaction is not going to be mentally healthy.

For now we are getting by with just interacting with each other in our home, and with others through phone and internet. However, if we spend too much time social distancing this is going to start making even us introverts climb the walls.

you're right JAM2b, do enjoy interacting with people at stores & some clerks share about their lives

however, the longer this goes on the more comfortable I feel at home & not going anywhere

confessing that I haven't driven my car lately & since not going out, living in pjs!

I'm sure this is true. Those who are heavily involved in local church activities can find that Sunday is the busiest day of the week.

The problem with being an introvert at this time, is that the rest of your household are at home too... so it doesn't necessarily equate to time alone!

There are things about the current situation that I do appreciate, and things I miss. As a Christian, though, I wonder whether we're fully living up to our potential to love our neighbours if we're deliberately isolating from them when it's not necessary.

I wouldn't be isolated from my kids/grandkids and friends if it wasn't necessary. I have to talk to the littlest on cell phones while looking at each other through the glass slider door. We blow kisses to each other, I get tears in my eyes just thinking about not being able to hug him.

I'm an intorvert and stay home due to fibromyalgia. I worked as an RN for 10 years before I diagnosed in 2010. I've always liked staying home. When they said we were gonna have to stay home because of the virus it didn't bother me at all lol.
I honestly like taking care of my house, and my husband. I like having him a hot meal ready when he comes home from work..i like being able to help my grown children out if they need me, and of course help take care of my grandkids. (All while pacing myself) This just feels like what I should do. I stayed at home with my children too, when they were little, for about 8 years before I went to nursing school.
