CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All life on the planet, and even the stability of the global environment, relies on microscopic organisms. We are but one species of smart Ape. Even if we were more powerful than other organisms, this would not make us better than them.
On the contrary, we cannot wipe out life on the Earth. We can radically alter the surface climate with nuclear winters and, more likely, global ice ages (an sad, but ironic, consequence of global warming). Most of Life will carry on regardless.
If you are talking in terms of destructive power, then is a supermassive black hole not better than us? Our Sun as it enters it's Red Giant phase? The pandemic bacteria that causes humanities extinction?

Yes, you cant describe all of them collectively without also desribing us. Example; what defines a fish? Its not fins, its not cold bloodedness, its not living only in water.

it's a mistake to think that a species can be compared to another species as being more or less developed. Animals evolve differently based on their environment and the niche they have in that environment. One could make the argument, by the logic of your opening post) that a whale is more developed than a human. it is bigger, can communicate over huge distances and survive for hours underwater in the depths of the ocean without any outside aide. A similar argument could be made for birds. your question is based on a faulty premise.
