It sounds like you have a conscience about what is appropriate. Personally I don't think you should stay away from games, I think we need more of a christian influence in the industry. I've thought about following this career path myself. Ideally the software you produce would either give glory to Jesus or it would be something constructive for people. The only two specific software titles that I would avoid promoting as a christian would be the Doom series or the Grand Theft auto series. Also avoid anything that would draw kids into any overly occultic or sexually promiscuous lifestyle.

I am wondering however, what kind of games do you enjoy? Personally I like war games. Don't worry I'm an adult and I don't oppose war at all. Anyway I find most games boring and non-stimulating. I love games like Civilization and wish they made more games that actually could teach you something. I don't know about you, but I'm more interested in educational software than some of those mindless games we've all played on the consoles. If there was only a constructive, clean and engaging educational online title that compared to some of these new MMORPG's etc, I think we'd have a real winner. Wouldn't you rather be learning something useful while playing games. That's my opinion anyway.

Hi.
I think Christian programmers should program games that are way different from the secular games with true message of Gospel. What could be better game than a game that draws people to try it out and tell's player the good news.
That of course is easier said than done but then on the other hand, all things are bossible with God!
Well that's just the way I want to go.

Remember this verse and I believe you can make the right decision:

Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

God bless.
