Problem with phosporus:

Phosphorus does not give light of its own - it only give of previously recieved energy in form of light. It only does that if it recieves energy in form of light.

So, sorry, no phosporescens without a preveiously existing lightsource.

But I offered you an alternative.

The burning of hydrogen gives a lot of energy. God could have used that to generate electrical power and light some lightbulbs.

Better yet, just get a great big ball of hydrogen. If it's big enough the pressure from it's gravity will cause it to fuse and give light. Of course, you'd need to keep it a long way from earth. About 1AU I'd say.

Didn´t you read His Holy Word, heretic? He experimented with small hydrogen balls before lighting the big one.

phosphorus does not need a light source, It absorbs energy and then emits that energy as visible light. the energy it recieves does not have to be in the form of light!

Yes, but the Sun is the source of energy for the Earth. Without the Sun, light isn't the only thing you wouldn't have.

I'm still not clear what's wrong with invoking a miracle to explain the existence of life and liquid water before the Sun showed up.

Perhaps the LORD Himself might be the light source that provided energy for photosynthesis before the sun was set in the firmament. Just in case my earlier post wasn't understood.
