  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wanted to ask a series of 5 questions and see where we stood on these issues in the P/R/E forum. I will ask them one by one so we can see if we can identify any patters, i.e., all the people who chose "A" in question 1 chose "A" in question 2, and so on. Which of the following views most closely reflects your beliefs:

A) The Fall of man was not total. There remains enough good in man for him to will to accept Christ unto salvation.

B) The Fall of man was complete. Unregenerate man is in absolute bondage to satan and wholly incapable of exercising his own will freely to trust in Christ for salvation.

Thanks,
God bless

  • Salvation comes by exercising faith, which is of the spirit. Faith comes by a revelation from Christ. The power is in the revelation, (the word), not in our ability to believe or decide anything.
  • "Will" is of the soul, or mind.... so salvation has nothing to do with "willingness".
  • Salvation has nothing to do with a decision... it has to do with a revelation: revelation you are lost and revelation that the Lord is merciful and will save all who call on His name.
  • You do not need to be good to choose God... you just need to know you are fallen: Try to be good.. Find out you cannot, call on the Lord for mercy. All this by revelation of the Spirit to man.

I don't think man is in bondage to satan, but to sin and sinful nature. If God was to destoy all Satan and all the other fallen angels, we would still sin.
