The queen of heaven didn't belong to Mary always you know....

The queen was first known as ASTARTE the goddess of the planet Venus

she was called ISHTAR by the assyrians and babylonians

She was known as ASHTORETH by the Phoenicians and some canaanites

She is mentioned in Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17-25

they honored her in 3 ways:

1. They burnt incense to her
2. They poured out drink offerings to her
3. They made cakes to her

Another thing these queens were known for is helping women get pregnant motherhood nursing etc...

Now we get to MARY the Queen of Heaven and what can I say about her that I haven't already said......

"Mary Queen of Heaven- the Bible Tells Me So"

"The Queen of Heaven was a goddess in pagan times, but when we call Mary the Queen of Heaven it has nothing to do with pagan worship. We don’t worship Mary. Check out this post to correct that mis understanding.

Instead Mary as the Queen of Heaven is tied in with the Old Testament concept of the royal household. Because the King had many wives it was impossible for one to be Queen. Therefore the King’s mother served in the role. The Queen Mother sat on a throne at the King’s right hand and helped rule the kingdom. Access to the King would often be through the Queen Mother and she would ask favors from the King for those who asked her. You can see an example of this in I Kings 2: 17-25 where Solomon is on the throne next to his mother Bathsheba.
Solomon is David’s son so, this establishes the analogy of the Queen Mother in the Kingdom of David. We know that Jesus is the Son of David and that he inherits the throne of his father David. His role as such is announced by the angel Gabriel from God Most High. So in Luke chapter one:

'You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.'

So the “Kingdom of God” or “Kingdom of Heaven” which Jesus talks about all the time is also the Kingdom of his father David. Jesus is the King who’s kingdom will never end, and who is his mother? Mary. If he is the King of the Kingdom of David–the Kingdom of God–also called the Kingdom of Heaven, then she is the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of David, the Kingdom of Heaven, and thus the Queen of Heaven–furthermore, if her son the King’s kingdom will never end we must conclude that her reign as Queen Mother at his right hand will also never end. It is an eternal kingdom.

It’s confirmed in Revelation 12 where “a great sign is given” — we see the woman who is the mother of the child who will rule the whole earth with a rod of iron. She is crowned with stars and with the moon under her feet.
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant…She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”

Who else could this be–clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head–than the Queen of Heaven? That she is the Virgin Mary is clear as she gives birth to the male child who is the King of Kings. Another take on this here.

So Catholics venerate Mary as the Queen of Heaven. It’s there in the Bible…if you have eyes to see.Mary Queen of Heaven- the Bible Tells Me So

According to the scriptures only one. In the bible Jesus is called the bridegroom and the church is called the bride

Some say the woman is the church, some say it's Israel, others say it's Eve, so this doesn't confirms anything.

"..However, most of the ancient commentators identified her with the Church, while in the Middle Ages it was widely held that she represented Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Modern exegetes, have generally held to the older interpretation, with certain modifications, on the strength of contextual details,.."

To be honest, this is the first time I've ever heard it suggested that the King's mother being Queen had anything to do with the number of wives the King had. The King shared his mother's blood, his wives did not

Regardless of what Wikipedia says has the strenghth of contextual details, contextual details point directly to Mary. I may go edit Wikipedia so it agrees with me ;)

Christ is the descendant of the David's Kingdom. This was no typical earthly Kingdom it was the kingdom ordained by the Father. In this Kingdom the Mother was always the queen, hundreds of wives or one wife or zero wives. The Old Testament foreshadows the New and the New fulfills the Old. To deny this is to miss out on the beauty of God's revelation, His divine plan.

If the woman in Revelation were the Church, the Bride of Christ, how can the Bride of Christ give birth to her husband? That is nonsense. The woman in Revelation is pregnant and gives birth to the ruler of all nations. Clearly this woman is the Mother of Christ, the Mother of the King. Coincidence the Mother of the King is described as a Queen? I think not. The OT foreshadows the NT and the NT fulfills the OT.

Is it mere coincidence, John was describing the Ark of the Covenant immediately before He suddenly begins to describe this Woman, or as we Catholics acknowledge the Ark of the New Covenant, Mary? The Ark of the Old Covenant contained what? Word of God in stone, Manna-bread for earthly life, and the rod of Aaron the High Priest. Mary, pregnant with Jesus, contained what? The Word of God in flesh, the Bread of Eternal life, and the Eternal High priest. The Ark of the Old Testament was made of the purest gold, Mary was the purest vessel to carry Jesus. Reverencing the Ark of the Old Testament did not take away from the worship of God, but irreverence was insult to God. Remind you of how us crazy Catholics regard Mary?

Once again, the OT foreshadows the NT and the NT fulfills the OT. The woman was Mary.

so tell me what the moon under her feet mean?

"This verse reveals Mary’s royal splendor in three ways. First, she wears a crown, symbolizing her own royal status. Second, the woman having "the moon under her feet" also points to her royalty, for in the Bible, "under-the-foot" imagery describes royal dominion and victory over one’s enemies (e.g., Ps. 110:1). Third, the triple celestial image of the woman being clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and crowned with 12 stars, also demonstrates her royal authority.

Similar imagery is found in the patriarch Joseph’s dream in which the sun, moon, and 11 stars bowed down before him, symbolizing the royal authority that Joseph would have over his father and mother (symbolized by the sun and moon) and over his brothers (represented by 11 stars). Revelation 12 depicts Mary with these same three celestial images, thus presenting her with a royal authority reminiscent of Joseph’s."

Actually they don't. I will explain later (;))

Christ is the descendant of the David's Kingdom. This was no typical earthly Kingdom it was the kingdom ordained by the Father. In this Kingdom the Mother was always the queen, hundreds of wives or one wife or zero wives.

First of all you've contradicted the previous statement you made
Because the King had many wives it was impossible for one to be Queen. Therefore the King’s mother served in the role.
Now you're saying she was queen regardless of how many wives.

The first mention of queens in the Bible was the Queen of Sheba. The wives of kings in Israel were not designated in the Bible. The Hebrew word for queen is shegal in Ps 45:9, which means the kings wife.
Queens of the Bible? - Ask.com

Secondly you say Christ is a descendant of David's Kingdom but is he really? Here's what Jesus himself said:

Matthew 22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
( I can imagine Jesus saying something similar to Catholics about this whole 'Mother of God' thing when they get to heaven)

God promised king David, messiah would come through his lineage and that he would rule over his future descendants but here Jesus is saying he's not really descendant of David since he existed while david was alive.

The Old Testament foreshadows the New and the New fulfills the Old. To deny this is to miss out on the beauty of God's revelation, His divine plan.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Don't know what you're talking about friend, I haven't missed it at all.

If the woman in Revelation were the Church, the Bride of Christ, how can the Bride of Christ give birth to her husband? That is nonsense.

It is nonsense if you take it as a literal birth. You have to remember the book of Revelation uses a lot of symbolism

This 4 minute and 16 second video explains it better than I can how Mary cannot be the woman in revelation and that the woman is most likely in reference to the nation of Israel.

Is the "woman" in Revelation 12 a reference to Mary? - YouTube

See above video

Every time I scrutinize catholic beliefs like these they always fall apart
and the further I dig in the more fanciful and convoluted the explanations from Catholics become.
I've noticed most Catholics beliefs come from what the bible doesn't say rather than what it say, for example the assumption of Mary.

Catholics have read these preconceived ideas into the bible and made them to sound that these believes are from the bible You're fellow catholic above prodromos is a good example of how Catholics can't even agree on the reasons for some of their beliefs.
To be honest, this is the first time I've ever heard it suggested that the King's mother being Queen had anything to do with the number of wives the King had. The King shared his mother's blood, his wives did not

Yes I think Catholics are crazy, they're crazy about Mary, and like a lot of infatuations you can easily elevate the person you are infatuated with and make them into more than they really are.

The truth is neither God nor Jesus ever elevate Mary above any other woman or man, in the scriptures. In fact I see the exact opposite.

Let the words of Jesus speak for themselves.

Matt 12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Wow let's read that again

Luke 8:19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.
20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

one more time

Mark 3:31There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
32And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? 34And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

Jesus here and in other scriptures shows he holds no special significance for his birth mother or his birth, saying anyone who does God's will is his brother, sister and mother.

Is Mary the “Queen of Heaven”?

No!

In 1953 & 54 two papal encyclicals notified the faithful that Mary had now been coronated as Queen of Heaven and reigned with the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.
However, this title is pagan in origin, which has been applied to many pagan goddesses, such as Ashtoreth, Semiramis, Astarte, Isis, Venus, Aphrodite, Diana and so forth.

The Prophet Jeremiah warns us to stay away from idols claiming to be a queen of heaven. For example, Jeremiah 7:18 says, “The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead [their] dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.”

In Jeremiah 44:17-19, when Jeremiah warned the Jews who fled to Egypt to turn away from their evil ways and from worshipping other gods, the Jews and their wives responded saying “we will not listen to you! But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble.

But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.

The women also said, "And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes for her, to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her without our husbands' permission?"

Jeremiah then replies in verse 25, that because they have vowed “to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her” and have done it, God will punish the Jews in Egypt till there is no one left , except a few who remain and return to the land of Judah as witnesses to God’s judgment.

Now, Catholics who pray to their false Mary and give their offerings at her various altars around the world, proclaiming her as their “Queen of Heaven”, should obey God and stop worshipping this Marian imposter. For, if Catholics don’t listen to God, then He will punish them for disobeying and following other gods, just like he did to the Jews in Egypt who were worshipping their “queen of heaven”.

However, Catholics attempt to defend their false image of Mary as their “queen of Heaven”, by ASSUMING that the woman of Rev. 12:1-6 “clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars” is referring to the transfigured Mary, who is supposedly the “Mother of the Church”. Yet, Rev. 12:1-6 has nothing to do with Mary or the Church. In truth, the woman of Rev. 12 symbolically represents the Nation of Israel which gave birth to the Messiah.

The First reason why it must be the Nation of Israel is because the Church is NOWHERE described as a “wife” in Scripture. Rather, the Church is called the Bride of Jesus Christ in Rev. 19:7 and Rev. 21:2,9-10, 17. Therefore, the woman of Rev. 12 CANNOT be the Church, it can ONLY be the Nation of Israel.

Second reason is that the Nation of Israel is frequently referred in the Old Testament as a woman giving birth. Case in point, Is. 26:15-18 says, “You have increased the nation, O Lord,...As a woman with child is in pain and cries out in her pangs, when she draws near the time of her delivery, so have we been in Your sight, O LORD. We have been with child, we have been in pain; we have, as it were, brought forth wind; we have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen.” Now, there are many other similar passages like Is. 54; Is. 66; Hosea 13; & Micah 4 that refer to Israel as a Nation giving birth.

The Third reason is that Jesus was prophesied to come from the Nation of Israel in various passages of the Old Testament. For instance, Is. 9:6 states, “For unto us [Israel] a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.” Now, this is the EXACT SAME Son mentioned in Rev. 12:5, where it says, “She gave birth to a Son, a male Child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron”. Hence, from these three reasons the woman of Rev. 12 is the Nation of Israel, NOT Mary, especially since the description of the woman being clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet, and crowned with twelve stars refers to Gen. 37:5-10, where Joseph’s family is described with the sun, moon, and 12 stars, and thus, refers to Israel.

Therefore, there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE in Scripture for Mary’s Cosmic Queenship.

Let's see

1. Jesus is King
2. The Queen is the mother of the king
3. Mary is the mother of Jesus.
4. Mary is Queen.

Simple.

Let's see...

1. Jesus is our Eternal King of Kings
2. God has no mother, since he is eternal.
3. Mary is the EARTHLY mother of Jesus
4. Therefore, Mary is not the Queen of Heaven.

Simple.

I think the Queen of Heaven is his bride/ His church .. and parallels mostly the over -comers who did his will with out being forced to bow.. Of which Mary and Joseph was one of millions.
I believe it also has to do with reigning faithfully over everything he gave you to rule over. be it large or small.. that might have stuff to do with ancient things as well.
i am sure that moon is .

God the Son didn't have a mother, but since condescending to become man 2000 or so years ago He became the son of Mary and she became His mother. She has been His mother ever since and ever will be

If we divide eternity into the period God didn't have a mother and the period God does have a mother, you end up with God having a mother for eternity/2 which funnily enough still equals eternity. Thus, since God is eternal, God has a mother.
Go figure :)

Hi and in Jer 7:18 , where is MARY mention in that verse ?

Verse 17 , the context is Jerusalem , don't you see ?

In verse 18 God is angry , because it is Idol worship and that is what the whole chapter is all about >

Gal 3:28 says that in the Body of Christ there cannot be Male and Female !

This means that MARY cannot be in heaven , period !

Let's see...

1. Jesus is our Eternal King of Kings
2. God has no mother, since he is eternal.
3. Mary is the EARTHLY mother of Jesus
4. Therefore, Mary is not the Queen of Heaven.

Simple.

Oh... that is right.... Elizabeth called Mary the "earthly Mother of my Lord" and the Catholic Church removed "earthly".
