I am asking for prayer as my finacial situation is out of control. We have been on the edge, and when I had two tires wear out in 3 weeks it put us over the edge, I have not been able to recover. I am in the red at the bank, with two weeks to payday, and I need $5 a night just for gas to do my job as a motor carrier, which is where all the money goes. I feel sick to my stomach cause I have no idea what to do now, as my checks are being eaten by the bank, and next month the vise grip is on with taxes, insurance and car tabs all due, plus a power bill which is big because of the deep freeze that we had this month. I am in the dark, as far as seeing any hope to get out of the trap I am in. I know the Lord in His Mercy can help, so I ask for prayers and a way out of the quagmire I am in,

I'll say a prayer or two for you. I'm sure your situation has got to be tough and depressing. Just remember that you'll get through it. Once you are all caught up and have some extra money, check and see if there are any local classes or workshops that can teach stratagies to staying on top of things like that. I'm only 16 but i enjoy reading about finances and stuff, and some of the things i've read about getting out of situations like your in really make sense and i would have never thought of them before. Wow-Jeff, that is a difficult situation. I'm very sorry to hear that. The economy isn't the best right now, either. Is it possible for your church to help you out? Or you can call Operation Blessing. That's what they do-help familiues who are struggling. And I will certainly pray for you.

Dear jeffthefin: I know, I know, I know! My husband and I went through some really horrible times with financial problems when we had a small farm--and the government and the veterinarians and mounting bills sucked us dry (past dry). I didn't think we would make it and was afraid we would lose everything we had, everything we had worked for. Man, did we pray! We had small miracle after small miracle and God in his mercy did amazing things.

We're praying for you now and your name is going in our daily "prayer basket." Keep your chin away from your chest and your eyes Heavenward, friend.

Well...move over. There's more people coming to your boat. I'm smack-dab in the middle of it, too. The only thing that keeps me going (other than prayers) is knowing that no matter how long it seems, it's temporary. If you could just explain that to the collector's, huh? I don't think there are enough resources in the world to take care of all of us that are in this boat. Then again...if that fish fed an army....
