1. how many people have ever, shared a can a vegi meat with a neighbor? what was their reaction?

I have never tasted vege meat of any sort. I am a carnivore all the way.

The texture and smell of some of the ghastly abominations I have witnessed at certain potlucks were enough for me, let alone actually eating the stuff.

I would never do such a thing to my neighbour unless I really hated them.

2. How many people have ever asked for "stripples on your sandwich, from a non sda restruant?

And ruin a perfectly good turkey sandwich?!

From the looks of those things, I'm quite sure the straps on my leather jacket would probably taste better.

Errrrrrrr NO, that stuff is too expensive and you HAVE to know how to fix it so it will taste like food.....

2. How many people have ever asked for "stripples on your sandwich, from a non sda restruant?

Though I doubt they would actually carry the stuff, I DO know of some places where you CAN get "veggie" burgers.....

When was the last time YOU did any of this.....?

When my dad almost had a heart attack in January, I got him switched over to a MOSTLY vegetarian diet...but you really have to watch the sodium in the prepackaged foods.

He LOVES the Morning Start Vegetarian Sausage patties. He didn't at first, but now he won't have real sausage (thank goodness!).

Whenever I go to college, I usually pack my lunch, and I'm constantly having people ask me "hey, can I try that?" and they usually love it.

The gluten steak patties in a can are good once you bread them and add some seasonings. I haven't had those in a long time though because the store that sells them is about 45 minutes from me.

I love most vegetarian food. I was raised to not be a picky eater.

Just a reminder to everyone we WILL be vegetarian in Heaven.
maybe... maybe not..... did God share the menu with us? Likewise there is a new earth, the menu there will be? :D

It just stands to reason if there is no death, there will be no meat.

uh huh... the human life cycle involves death..... skin cells die, hair is composed of "dead cells" etc.... so I don't agree that there won't be death..... time will tell....

I want to see the look on the vegetarians faces if God lays out the table and there is steak and roast for the feast.... won't that be a hoot....lol :D

just messin..... or not.....

There are SDA restaurants? I mean, besides cafeterrias? I get veggie burgers, and even go to vegan restaurants, and if they are religiously inclined, it is towards buddaism.

Also, have you seen Simpsons where Homer is Adam? He goes up to the pig and asks what is good today... and the pig says ribs or something, and so he grabs some out and the pig goes on it's way.

Interestingly in Canada this weekend I saw some tv ads for vege meat products that I had never heard of.

At the last two Costco stores where I have lived they both offer the larger packages of Morningstar Breakfast Patties. In nearly everyplace I have been it is now easier to get meat substitutes though not always the canned variety and they still tend to cost more then actual meat. Though far easier to prepare then real meat and if you figure the shrinkage of cooked meat or bones and other no edibile stuff they may be actually similar in cost.

The Bible states clearly there will be no more death in Heaven. We will eat from the Tree of Life for a reason...and we will be satisfied with whatever food we have. We are also told we will grow our own food. There will be no meat-eating in heaven.

This whole idea of getting back to the 'original diet' is pure EGW. It is ridiculous for us to speculate what sort of fruit or vegetables will be found in Heaven. It is even more ridiculous to assume that it in any way will resemble the fruit and vegetables we buy at the local Safeway. More ridiculous is to assume that by exclusively eating such, we are 'preparing' for the diet in Heaven.

Unless Safeway's fruit have the power to bestow immortal properties and someone didn't notify me.

But I guess when Christ changes our bodies, characters and minds back to the standing of sinless Adam at glorification, our tastebuds and digestive systems are exempt.

The only ones who are even remotely attempting this are those who subsist only on fruit alone, which we know is not an adequate diet for anyone.

And no, there will not be Fri-Chik, Grillers or Vega-Links in Heaven either BTW.

here is the thing though... if God is so powerful, why can't there be a tree with edible "something" (dont want to say fruit) that tastes like steak with heinz 57 steak sauce, or pot roast or something... that's all I am saying....

Secondly, if there are insects that never die but continue reproducing, at some point will the new earth be overrun by one species or another?

My point is that our view of paradise is not always (if ever) realistic....

Trust,

I knew a woman who would make homemade gluten and it was fantastic.
