"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." Prov. 3:27 ...because it's who I am. And even though finding anyone else who thinks caring about other people and trying to be helpful when they can is important, it affirms that God says it's what I (every Christian) should do. I wish more people would just do what they can to help other people when it's in their power to. Would make my life a whole lot easier, that's for sure. And probably yours too, eh? Frankly the "I don't care about you" attitude of Christians today is a real spirit quencher...and I'm getting real sick of it personally. In many cases it costs nothing to just see what needs to be done, and do it. Smile at someone. Open a door. Ask somebody "How are you today?" and actually listen to their answer. People see somebody struggling and nobody stops to even take notice. It's not a Christian thing according to the Bible to do this. And yet, I see people from church all the time turn a blind eye to me, my kids, my family, anyone or worse be condescending, uncaring and defensive of their right to not care and tell me how it's stupid for me to expect them to. I'm not an end times prophesizing type person, never really thought people who were zeolots about that stuff were really sane. But, it makes me wonder. Seems just in my life time this world has become a real cold and uncaring place. And it's not atheists or other religions that are to blame for this...it's ours! It's wrong. And it really bugs me. But, I can't change what other people do. I can only change my own behavior. So, this is why this is my verse. It's me.

Sorry to go on and on.

Do you know how to set a table with all the silverware and glassware in the right (according to good etiquette) places?

I like that it compensates for a small population by singing and serving with gusto. I really like that it is so involved with the other churches in the region. I also like the pastor alot. It seems I joined right after a really ugly crisis had been averted, mostly by virtue of his willingness to calmly and gently mediate between very fervently arguing groups. CtK is a really, really great congregation and I love them all.

If you had the power to end just one world conflict overnight, which would you choose?
