I try to avoid the news altogether. I don't believe it's much more than propaganda. And I really don't need the toxic levels of negativity the news inundates my system with.

Honestly? Liberal Quakers occupy my favorite sector of Christianity. But I'm a Lutheran by trade, so to speak.

If you were to volunteer overseas for any human aid organization, which would it be?

Any international poverty/hunger organization. It kills me that over 11 million children die each year due to hunger and poverty. There's so much that could be done.

Pretty involved- we've formed an ecumenical alliance with the other denominational churches in town, and all seven get together for all kinds of community projects.

The most effective immediate action would be to implement federal or state regulations on excess packaging, I think.

Yeah, I can't wait! I just received my absentee ballot in the mail! I love politics, so I'm really interested to see how things play out in a couple weeks...

I love my job- I work as an assistant to an archivist at a research library. I mostly do data entry, but it is interesting data entry.

Scottish on my Dad's side, from up on the north coast, and a bunch of unruly Normans on my mother's.

I find that if anyone else goes back that far, I'm generally related to them somehow. The entire East Coast is peopled by distant cousins.
