Edward of Woodstock, Prince of Wales, son of Edward the III, father of Richard the II.

What was Edward of Woodstock's claim to fame (other than being called the Black Prince)?
Um, other than being a key character in Chaucers A Nights Tale? Well, he was one of the first to hold the title Prince of Wales, and he was pretty famous for winning many battles against the French. (sorry, I'm not really that up on my ancient English history. If you meant something else, please tell me. Becasue I like learning and find all this pretty interesting. )

What is your favorite clothing/fashion erra?

I'd forgotten I'd asked that question. I see it was not answered for a while. I hope that wasn't because no one else could be bothered to google! ;) ^_^

You are correct except that I went a little further with that to say that he was also the first (i'm not sure about only, but maybe that too) Prince of Wales to not become King of England as he died before the reigning King did.

Now to answer your question? I'm thinking that CF characters is probably my favourite era. ;) But seriously I love those beautiful gowns that ladies wore during the Civil War era. Mind you I could well have done without the corsets!

Do you wear dresses casually or only for special occasions? (If you're a boy you don't have to answer this one. :p )

DB, you're worse than me. My husband recommended a book to me the other day and I told him to let me finish one of the three I'm already reading. ;)

No way! I do LOVE veggies though - lots of them!

What former West Virginian (retired as a brigadier general) held the moniker of "Fastest Man Alive" while serving as the Air Force's chief test pilot at Edwards Air Force Base and taking the Bell X-2 out past mach 2.8?

Because God made it that way? :)

*googles*

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.
However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

Was your sky blue today?
