That is why they were shaking in their boots when Moses told them they were to conquer the promised land, because they saw themselves as grasshoppers in comparison to the people they were to evict.

I merely used that number to show that it's impossible to have a global flood, 8 known survivors, and build pyramids in such a small time frame. It's just not possible.

Regardless, maybe there were only a dozen or so people around when the pyramids were constructed, but keep in mind that the people living 4,500 years ago resembled Adam and Eve (the original humans, who were created perfect) more closely than modern, degenerate man. They were probably thirty feet tall and capable of cutting and lifting stone blocks with their minds.

dont be mean. i think what johnr7 was referring to was the age of the pyramids and how people know how old they are. he was saying they are so huge, they could have easily survived a flood. that said, do you think its possible God planted evidence of creation when he made the world to make sure Christian faith was actual faith, and not the lack of evidence against it?

I think it is fairly safe to say that by any reasonable (non ad-hoc) explanation for the pyramids put forth by Creationists that they would need to be post flood because they are built out of material that was supposedly laid down by the flood.

That being said, I would like to ask, what flood?

This the same flood that craved out the Grand Canyon? The same one that destroyed Eden and rearranged the topography and coastlines of the planet? The one that is responsible for all kinds of mineral deposits in all kinds of layers of rock in all kinds of places all over the earth?
