A strawman fallacy is when someone claims A, the opponent twists it and turns it into claim B then attacks claim B and feels he defeated claim A by debunking B. How did I do that?

Many christians abhore secular science claiming is "deludes" those who admire it. For those who believe this why not pray over your sick child rather then take them to the hospital? You chastise secular science but USE it daily, you TRUST it to save your loved one's life.

Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Next time your loved one is ill, don't rely on science to help them...just pray and believe...are you willing?

Give me a break. God gave us doctors. Seriously. Luke (the author of Acts) was a physician. Faith is important, don't get me wrong. You can put your faith in God that he will work through the doctor to heal the ill person. After all, doctors have no ability to heal without God giving it to them first.

That's true. For the most part Doctors have no clue what they are doing and it is our natural healing abilities that heals every ill we have. Even so that doesn't mean Christians won't go to the doctor's to get their broken limbs set or to get some anti biotics because the only way to get them is through the doctors. You ,and I mean the original poster, are confusing medical science with evolutionary theory which is not based on science at all. Evolution is merely a theory that sets out in an attempt to disprove God's creation but still has not gathered any proof after all of these years. Darwins observations were not proof since they assumed that certain species made their way onto the Galapagos Islands on rafts and then evolved into different species over time , with no proof about it at all.
His theory like the entire evolutionary assumes that creation is an impossibility and therefore tosses all evidence that points to creation and that is bad science. Anyways evolution is not related to medical science at all which is actual science done by investigating things without ruling out whole possibilities before they are even investigated.

this one doesn't deride science and replace it with religion.
I find that both help increase my faith. And if my child was sick, I would do all I can to get him healed/cured with science, and pray all the time for him..
