Have you ever read what happens to everyone in Israel who doesn't have his name and the name of his father written in their foreheads ?Could be. I think people shy away from such interpretations out of fear of being wrong. But Deuteronomy 30 shows us that God is actively working on bringing His promises. The promises of God are dependent on God’s faithfulness, not ours. God made a covenant with Abraham. That covenant is not annulled just because Jesus opened the promises to all people. Romans 11 is clear on that. Even if millions of Jews reject Jesus, God has already elected a remnant to always follow Jesus where he goes.
“I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed Your prophets, they have torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life.” But what is the divine response to him? “I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice.”
Romans 11:1-5 NASB1995
“Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. And they *sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless.”
Revelation 14:1-5 NASB1995
“But I will leave among you A humble and lowly people, And they will take refuge in the name of the Lord. The remnant of Israel will do no wrong And tell no lies, Nor will a deceitful tongue Be found in their mouths; For they will feed and lie down With no one to make them tremble.” At that time I will bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes,” Says the Lord.”
