  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been having problems recently with lusting over my boyfriend (daydreams, fantasies, etc...). We've both agreed that we want to save ourselves sexually for marriage (whether we end up marrying each other or someone else down the road) and we've gone no furthur than "making out" (which means kissing with all clothes on and no hands wandering to "down there"). IMO, anything that involves touching or seeing things that aren't usually clothed before marriage is a sin that we should try to avoid.

I think that sexual desire, esp at this age, is normal...and if anyone says they don't struggle with it at least now and then they're probably not being 100% truthful.

Not really. I don't have problems with my occasional desire to overeat (engage in gluttony) either, nor do I consider it a problem that I sometimes want things I can't afford or admire my neighbors house and wish my own was as nice.

Natural inclinations are not problems or issues for me, they are part of being human. I'm not a robot, I'm a person with naturally occurring thoughts and desires. :)
