Nothing wrong with coffee but I did give it up in 2018 for Lent and have one only on occasions. I was drinking 6 or more cups a day so I decided to stop.

I do drink black tea in the morning. Right now I'm sipping green rooibos with honey bush and manuka honey.

Yeah I've been addicted to caffeine for a long time now, without it, pounding headache. So many beverages have caffeine it's difficult to consistently avoid, and I've always had difficulties with strictly drinking water, milk, and other beverages without caffeine. I do love black tea also (not a fan of lemon or green), but my wife drinks it so I drink it lightly. I really like to drink it hot or warm, without ice, and with sugar, artificial sweetener.

Dude, you gotta give it up! I quit cold turkey and just suffered. I also gave up meat on Wednesdays and Fridays, alcohol and tobacco.

Isn't addiction idolatry?

Do you like vodka? If so pick up some Burnett’s it’s as good as Tito’s but half the price. Also distilled in Kentucky.

I have had coffee for many years, I had stopped drinking alcohol a couple of decades ago, but it was several coffees in the morning early on. It was too much, and I stopped, and had the unpleasant consequences, I went back to it but since limited it to one drink of it for each day, and generally the last few years early before the day. Lately I use green tea rather more often, instead of the coffee, once before each day.

I was actually having green tea before each day much more often, and almost fully transitioned to it. But I found rice milk that is fortified in the way that I will want, and to use it frequently like I want, I have coffee pretty much more often since, once before each day still, to have for adding some of that rice milk to. And it isn't something I dislike, I just wanted the benefits I can have with green tea, too.

I have the rice milk, and generally agave nectar, in the coffee I have, the tea when I have it is green tea, with generally agave nectar, and I just put ginger with it. I have my routine of eating a bit of Complete Cookie with having the drink, then.

I alternate between which I use, currently I am about to finish off the almond milk I have, it's good and there is benefit from almonds, but not fortified as I want, I am now planning to get fortified soy milk next, later on I will cycle back to rice milk which also is fortified almost as much.
