anisavta, there is an easy solution to your hamataschen problem...buy them at the store ;)
Yeah, right...where????

I was exhausted last night and did not get them made and will not have time to have them made for tonight. I can't find Matzah during Pesach around here. Fat chance finding hamataschen.

Well all was not lost.
First of all where I live you can't buy hamantashen.
I added orange juice to the dough and with extra flour worked it into a more doable product. They were just too dry the first time. Also I used egg wash to "glue" the sides together. And they turned out great. A little chunkier of a cookie but they still tasted good and looked like the hamantashen we know and love.
Now I need to work on perfecting the cookie so next year they will work from the get go.
This week I have been house and grandchildren sitting while my DD and SIL are on a Mexico cruise. With a 6,4 and 20 month old it is near impossible to make cookies. But tonight we did a Purim dinner, and the 6 yr old did a "one woman" Purim shpiel for us that was very good. She used her stuffed animals and dolls as the characters and she of course was Queen Esther.

Ani that sounds awesome! :D
Our Hamentashen came out a bit big also.. mainly due to the recipe I have that is gluten free... Matzah is going to be a big scary hassle. I still haven't found a recipe that works.
I start getting ready next week for Pesach, since I have a lot to do just before going to my mom's
