BTW if you came to my church and started knocking Word of Faith I would put you out so fast your head would be spinning...

Thank you. WOF

No problem at all I would be glad to oblige, I am accountable to God for who I let scatter the sheep and I take it VERY seriously...

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Acts 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Acts 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

As a former WoF'er I have to ask... how is this a good sign for the validity of the WoF worldview?

as the days grow shorter two things have been promised to us:
1. the growth of knowledge
2. the increase in communications

these two things combined together indicate that the things of God will become clearer as we study them, and that the availability of materials to study the word of God will increase in both number and availibility. So as we share with each other what we have learned about God our faith increases accordingly. it's true, faith comes by the hearing of the word. (and the reading).

How does one strengthen oneself and grow mature surrounded by yes men?
that all depends upon what the men are agreeing to, and whom they hold in authority. if the men agree with God's word and His authority, and share their knowledge among their brothers and with those outside the camp, then everybody benefits.

It is well reported over the internet that this forum is not where one might go to sharpen one another in the faith... but rather more like camp WoF where everyone wins as long as it validates the WoF.

Brother Hagin would have been dismayed!

i cannot answer for Brother Hagin, but i have found more information and teaching here than i have on other forums where WOF is hounded and harassed unmercifully.;) In those places the WOF forum is run with a seige mentality, WOF are under constant bombardment, even the continued existance of WOF is doubtful, and growth is impossible.

here i can grow and learn. hear i can find fellowship and encouragement. here i can live in harmony with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
But i also have the opportunity to speak with those who aren't WOF , were WOF, or have never heard of WOF.

now tell me....if you were charged with raising a child to maturity, under which environment would you live? The camp under seige or the nurturing forum?

Thank you for your response, Glen.

I've been a WoF member at this forum for over 5 years. I would agree with you that this forum is quick to enforce the congregational rules, but that stems from years of people coming in for the sole purpose of causing strife. I think those experiences and the scars left from them cause a lot of WoF members here to be very wary of someone who wears the title "Ex-WoF".

From what you've said, I can nearly guarantee a clash will result should you continue to post in this forum.

Personally, I have no problem discussing things with Ex-WoF, anti-WoF, non-WoF, etc. As I alluded to earlier, there is a Spirit-Filled/Charismatic forum here at CF where you would probably be more at home. All walks of Spirit-Filled believers post there, and you don't have to worry about talking about your WoF experiences in a negative light there (people do it all day every day ;)).

I only speak for myself, i personally don't want to engage your (not you personally but all the non woffers) questions or arguments, take them to the debate section and anyone from here that wants to debate with you will go to where you are...

Notice we didn't go to you to disrupt your forum, you came to us to disrupt ours...

but again as I said i can only speak for myself...

no, your post above was a follow up, and is allowed.

when the rules talk about answering questions, they are speaking of a situation where person A comes into the forum as a visitor and asks a quesion. If there is both a WOF and a non-WOF present in the forum and both are reading the question, it is the WOF who should respond and not the non-WOF.

You are so funny, if I get one I will go, if I get two I will go if I get three I will go and now if I get another I will go...

CF is very welcoming and will go out of their way to accommodate people, there are lots of sub forums here where you will fit right in, the problem is you are in the wrong forum to be promoting ex wof propaganda...

I have no problem with you personally, i don't know you, you may stay and fellowship according to the rules but i feel you don't want to abide by the rules here because it doesn't allow you to disagree with wof doctrine...

I fully agree with this post.

Glen, why must the discussion you want to have need to happen in this house? Why not start this discussion in another forum that is built for such discussion, then invite the WoF here to come visit and read. Those who WANT such discussion will come over and talk; those who DON'T WANT such discussion don't have to have it laid in front of them each time they come to the forums.

Does that make sense? Why here?

(btw, even if the members here agreed that you are no threat in your current mindset, such a discussion is against CF rules since you are not WoF any longer: you simply cannot teach or debate contrary ideas from WoF doctrine and theology. It is these rules we have been fighting for over the past few months at least, and it is the rules that must be enforced if CF rules are to mean anything at all. Do you not agree? Let's take your discussion to a forum here on CF where it makes sense and follows the rules.)

This is in response to the op. Isn't that the topic?

I just wanted to know Him, and to worship Him in spirit and in truth. I wanted God more than anything else. All I can say is I'm here because I earnestly sought Him, and this is where He has placed me. It is truly a place of green pastures and still waters. It is a place of abundance and my heart sings for joy. There's nothing like Jesus! And His Word! Oh, what a treasure! I love the pure Word of God, untwisted. That's why I'm here. He has lead me. That was some 20 years ago. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. I have a family here in Christ Jesus that spans beyond CF. The blood is so great, it truly makes us one. And those in Him see themselves one with others in Christ Jesus. They walk in love, those who know Him. Others stumble in darkness who hate their brother, and don't even know what they're stumbling at. There is only love and hate. We, people in general tend to have a middle road, but God doesn't. Either you are one with the brethren or you're not.

We are one just as our Father and Jesus is one. And Jesus is in us, and our Father is in Jesus. We are all wrapped up together! We are one. And oh the glory!!!!

If you don't know what I'm talking about, just hang around Jesus more.

John 17:22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

I would feel very safe in your church. As a sheep, I would feel protected from the wolves.

Helloooo? Isn't that what a shepherd does?

You could at least read the posts before you answer... he said he can turn up at his friends church and talk to his congregation about non wof doctrines and I said if you showed up at mine and tried to do that I would put you out...

Now how did you get out of that, that this is my church?

Exactly Cindy, I actually have a problem with Pastors who say that they will welcome people with different doctrines into their church... That just confuses the flock...

I have a friend of mine who is not full gospel and he is an evangelist, I get him to preach for me but I tell him to stick to evangelism and not to teach doctrine...

It may be in jest but it still misrepresents what I said and it will cause others who didn't read the posts to think that is what I said too...

I was speaking about my own physical church where I am the Pastor...

As a newbie to this forum - I personally can understand and relate to the need for the rules and the strict enforcement of such.

I remember well the day I was hired as a worship leader in WoF church. I had never even heard of most of the teachers in that arena - but when I did I was floored. It made so much sense and answered many of the questions in Scripture which had plagued me for years.

Now I find myself in a spirit-filled church being used by God to teach faith. Difficult? You bet! Impossible? Nothing is impossible with God.

This forum (for me) provides a safe haven where I can be encouraged - refreshed - taught - confirmed - enlightened... enabling me to go back into the fray and teach what the Lord has given me to teach.

I would be one of those who would choose not to come here if it were a war zone. I have seen places like that - and have engaged in enough of those conversations to know that they are not healthy in the least.
