  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

the Wedding is a good punkish band.
My Red Hot Nightmare is good a lil peppy don't know if you'd say pop-punk or not, it's decent though..good music there.
Mourning September & Kids in the Way are new-punk style bands.
Dogwood & Side Walk Slam have been two constantly good punk bands throughout the years
Ace Troubleshooter is good but they're also rather pop-punkish.

Dead bands are better in my opinion. There are a few like one-21, squad five-0, and others still around, but the bands of yesteryear should not die along with their fanbase. And i didn't mean you directly. I meant "you" as all forum members.

I am sorry, Value Pac is not ska. I was in a hurry when writing it. They are regular punk music. I was thinking of Face Value, who originally played ska, then added more straight punk to their style.

Since I am here again, i will add a few more bands:

Face value, I already said
Flatfoot 56 - some band I found recently that plays old skool punk with BAGPIPES
Black cat rebellion- spooky punk rockabilly (features drummer from blaster the rocketman)
The culprits- fast classic punk (like minor threat or rancid)
Headnoise- girl fronted punk (i dont care for them too much, but you might)
Slick Shoes- Newer style punk (there older stuff is real good)
MXPX
- There first CDs were real good. They are very poppy now.
OC Supertones- ska ska ska
The scooterz- New wave power pop industrial punk (features the singer from smiley kids)
Stryper- not really punk, but 80's hair metal

I also recommend checking out other christian punk artists on sleeby.com, christicoremusic.net, godcore.com, punkreviews.com, and other sites

Thats a shame that nobody enjoys punk in your area. I will add a few more bands...

Lifesavers (LSU) - indie-surf-mod-rock
Lugnut - speedy punk, like 300 bpm
Whitecross- 80's metal, then classic rockish/90s alternative
Left Out- gritty and grungy punk
Ruby Joe- 50's style punk
the blamed- i think someone might have said them already?
