I think dreams are an outlet for our subconscious. It seems, in your dream, that you're trapped in something you have no control of - but you already believe that. Dreams don't make our reality. You will learn to survive and manage ptsd as your future unfolds. Too bad we can't see it ahead of time - but faith wouldn't grow then.
I led my infantry company into a terrible ambush. Half our company were casualties and my entire squad was killed. Several more incidents left me nearly paralized with fear and guilt. God was, is and will always be there for us through it all. I was so focused on my pain that I couldn't see Him for a long time (I was also very stubburn). It's normal, don't worry about it.
