  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The purpose of this Website is to make you into a Brain Surgeon; rather, it is to give you useable, non-technical information about the conditions which require surgery in this most important area of our body.
In 45 minutes or less, this easy, delicious dish can be on your table.
With spices and other secret ingredients, these turkey, chicken, and spruced-up beef patties take your everyday burger to new heights.
The hair on part of the scalp is shaved. The scalp is cleansed and prepared for surgery. An incision is made through the scalp. The incision may be made behind the hairline and in front of your ear, at the hairline near your neck, or elsewhere, based on where the problem in your brain is located. Assemble these delicious little truffles, freeze, and at the end of the day you can come home to candy-coated ice cream surprises! :o

The cerebrum or cortex is the largest part of the human brain, associated with higher brain function such as thought and action. The cerebral cortex is divided into four sections, called "lobes": the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe. Here is a visual representation of the cortex.

What do each of these lobes do?
  • Frontal Lobe- associated with reasoning, planning, parts of speech, movement, emotions, and problem solving
  • Parietal Lobe- associated with movement, orientation, recognition, perception of stimuli
  • Occipital Lobe- associated with visual processing
  • Temporal Lobe- associated with perception and recognition of auditory stimuli, memory, and speech

Dive into these delicious miniature cakes–no brains required.
Coconut Cupcakes

Dense coconut milk, added right into the batter, gives these cupcakes all the flavor of the full-sized concoction, but with the added cuteness of individual servings. Top with traditional cream cheese icing and toasted coconut.

Yield: Makes 30 cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups butter, at room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons each vanilla and almond extracts
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon each baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut, plain or toasted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 3/4 cups powdered sugar
Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream together 2 cups butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in 1 1/2 teaspoons each vanilla and almond extracts.
2. In another large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter and sugar mixture in 3 batches, alternating with coconut milk. Stir 1 cup flaked coconut into the batter.
3. Fill 30 paper-lined muffin cups (1/2-cup capacity) in two or more muffin pans about 2/3 full with batter. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing muffins from pans. Cool completely.
4. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, 3/4 cup butter, and 1/2 teaspoon each vanilla and almond extract until smooth. Gradually beat in powdered sugar. Frost cupcakes and sprinkle with remaining coconut.
Note: Nutritional analysis is per cupcake.

chocolate covered spiders for a delicious snack...
Chocolate Covered Spider
Here is what you need:

Chocolate: white, dark, milk or a mix of all three
thin pretzels (tied, not sticks) broken into large peices
peanuts (optional but a great addition)

Directions:

1. Melt chocolate in an electric skillet on low heat or in the microwave in a large mixing bowl. Stir the chocolate as it melts. You can add about a tablespoon of vegetable oil or shortening to the melted chocolate to thin it out.

2. When the chocolate is completely melted, add the pretzels and peanuts. Stir until it is all coated. Continue to add pretzel pieces and peanuts until the chocolate is evenly distributed.

3. Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.

4. Place in refrigerator until hardened
