Psalm Sunday

[MMXII]

Ok, so it's not Sunday. I participated in this on another board and thought I'd open it up to you wonderful folk.

I know there are many creative minds here and I’d love to see your creativity in writing. Here’s what I want you to do…write a Psalm. You can make it a couple of lines or a whole psalm. You can even make it a prayer to our Lord! When you are writing it, you are glorifying Jesus Christ our Lord and God, and it is an expression of worship to Him! It is not that hard. Just TRY IT please! If you don't know how to write one, go to the book of Psalms and read a few of them, they will give you inspiration!

To you my Lord I send up my Psalm of praise.​

​

You alone, my Protector, have given me reason to worship you.​

​

Father, you are my Protector when I’m afraid, my Comforter when I am alone and my Shield against those against me.​

​

You are there whenever and wherever I need you.​

​

You have been there when I’ve fallen and when I’m down.​

​

You have been there when my life seems like and endless tumult of worries.​

​

You have been there when the sun is warm on my cheek and also when the snow is bitter against my skin.​

​

When I call on your Precious name, I know you are there.​

​

You have given me light in the darkness. You are the giver of light in my dark world.​

​

Father, whenever I call your name, you give me peace.​

​

Thank you my Father for my life, my breath, my peace, my joy in all that I do and all that I am.​

​

Thank you for faithfully being with me even when I am unfaithful to you.​

​

Thank you for all the blessings I have and for all that I don’t realize.​

​

Lord, giver of all things, you have blessed my life.​

​

Thank you God for the most precious gift you have given me, your Son.​

​

When you speak peace I feel it in my soul.​

​

I see you in all of nature. In a baby’s smile, in a friend’s hug, in a fragrant flower, in the fury of a storm, in the calm of a spring day, in the wind, in the rain, in the entire world around me there is You.​

​

Thank you Father for all you do. ​

​

God of all of Heaven and earth, protect my brother and sister Christians, both here and around the world.​

​

Give me the courage and strength to stand up against my foes and to never forsake you.​

It refreshes the soul.
His Law is good,
Doing His will is a delight.
His mercies are everlasting,
He blesses all who love Him.

He alone is worthy of all praise.
