Psalm 91. Reflections...

Friends,

Millions around the globe will be reading this Psalm.

We make this a 'go to' when there is a serious threat.

First question is - are you living in the Shelter of the Most High?

I ask this because those who do, do not have fear.

Second question, verse 8 suggests that those who fall to the threat are wicked !

At this point we better make the whole psalm poetic or metaphorical pretty quick so as not to offend.

Third point. Angelic protection is fundamental to safety. They act at His command - if you dwell in the Shelter of the Most High.

OK then... safety comes to those who position themselves under Him and fear not.


How do we position ourselves under Him?

Verse 14 points to Christ - the One who knew His Name. (John 17)

But He did not get the long life on earth as promised - we do through the blood of the Cross.

So be in Jesus - this is more than belief, it is to position yourself - under the blood - as in the passover.

Fear Not.

I can't count how many times God has stepped in to save my life.

I've prayed this to the point of unwittingly memorizing it, but why do I get these doubts in the back of my mind that God would do this for me? I'm worried because my doubt may threaten the efficacy of the prayer.

When you learn a truth or promise of God, the enemy tries to steal it from you by implanting thoughts of fear and doubt. Cling to every promise so that it becomes part of who you are.
