The judge is 100% incorrect because he is ignoring the majority rule.

Am I not the model Conservative Christian in your eyes?
So does every Christian that has ever lived.
Hey, the guy had his chance to implement his goals on all. On that Christians do not have the same power. But at least we know it was a gay guy that did this thing. Not us.

No, we don't know that. I've heard you allege several times that the judge is gay, but as far as I'm aware, he isn't.
Wrong. Read the decision, and read the thread. You'll then see why you're wrong.
I do believe the judge is gay. The relevance of that, however, remains to be seen. Yes, obviously, a gay man ruling on a gay issue has the window dressing of bias, but this is a professional member of the judiciary who has served for many years. One doesn't get to his position by relying on bias.
Straight people rule on straight issues, men rule on male issues, women rule on female issues, black people rule on black issues, etc. etc. all the time. It is very rare that bias is alleged in these situations to the same degree as it is in this one.
And while he may be gay, he is also a conservative judge appointed by a Republican president (and nominated once before that, but rejected as being too conservative). Not sure why his personal bias would outweight his political bias.
So the judge is gay. Now that may or may not be that much of an issue. If it affected his ability to be impartial, it's an issue. But there are straight judges who no doubt do the same thing.

Was I writing to you?
No, I wasn't.
Look, a gay guy found himslelf in the position of power and authority over every person in California and took his shot.
I'm honestly pleasantly surprised you're approaching the issue this way.![]()
Was I writing to you?
Why do you believe he is gay? The only one I've heard saying that so far is OMQ. But I agree with you. His sexual orientation is completely irrelevant. I read the decision (the WHOLE thing) and I didn't detect a shred of bias. In fact, it looked to me like the judge went out of his way for the defense...

I don't know why.
A lot of gay people and those who support them in their anti-Biblical everything are CONSTANTLY going on about how the Christian belief system should not be forced upon them by Christians or the law because this is not a theocracy.
But now, lo and behold a supposedly gay judge comes along and starts legislating his belief system and all the gays and their supporters cheer?
I find this incredibly interesting.
It gets mentioned a lot in editorial articles about the matter. And it was known when he took on the case, too.
Judge being gay a nonissue during Prop. 8 trial - SFGate
There's one link that talks about it, from the start of the trial.
