  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There was one other thing that was confirmed tonight. That is the 15th time now for that.It has become a joke in our family. my sons love it.....Because we started getting this word four months ago back in Calgary and at first I was wondering if i was just getting excited and wishful thinking... But then we got it 10 times from 10 different sources and now five since we moved....

haha...Now that is confirmation for ya...over and over again....The same thing happened to me last year......it was over and over and over from different people.....I was like, "Ok God, you want to make sure I GET THIS dont'cha"..........

I kind of tease my sons about this word because the pastor brings it up in front of the whole church but not for us specifically. But it is so specific and my sons start elbowing each other and laughing and elbowing me and I pretend I don't get it... I'm like "what happened , I was thinking and not paying attention , what did he say ? " They are telling me he said this word yet again...so I tell them " you guys just have it on your mind now... I mean come on , God isn't going to say something that unexpected and specific yet again..." of course , I knew....I just like to tease the boys.....

Speaking of that sort of thing.... here is another fun thing that God keeps doing....I have these "rants" some times when I get frustrated... Something God told me to stop now but anyway....

This one time a few years ago my wife and I are driving in the car and we were under financial hardship to the point where we counted coins for gas money trying to get through until payday....We need food money....So I am on this rant because we have had about 14 confirmations that we are right where God has us and have not missed the will of God at all and yet this problem.....

So I say , it's not like we are just going to have money fall out of the sky on us or just be laying there on the ground like the manna.... So my wife is driving and suddenly yanks the car around in a u turn and I figure she forgot something back where we were coming from.But she stops and gets out and points to the ground and there lying in the middle of the road is 50 dollars.....lol....

lol!.....He sure will make sure you get it.....It was something I needed to hear though very badly..It kept me sane and to get to the next place....seemed like right when I was down in the dumps, here came that word again.........lol!........Talk about God making sure to keep me at peace.......

Then there was this other time we are driving around in the middle of no where trying to find this place we are going to and I am on a rant about the same subject ... God's provision....This is several months after the first example..... So I use as an example bottled water because my wife is trying to help encourage me and saying the provision will come... And I am pointing out how unlikely it is to work out in the situation so I say it is about as likely as someone standing by the side of the road selling bottled water just because I am thirsty....So we round this bend in on this back road about 30 seconds later and there is this guy standing there on the side of the road with a sign bottled water for a dollar.... I'm not making this stuff up....One of the boys was in the car and he is just howling with laughter ...He is shouting "burn on you Dad..Mom wins this arguement..oh yeah "

Of course I stopped and bought a bottled water......Had to.....

I am feeling I have to give up this reluctant prophet role I have been playing for years....I kind of got attached to it though....

Secretly , I love these adventures God puts me on... But sometimes , I kind of do the eyore thing of "oh bother.." when God calls me to do something strange...I am like oh alright , I'll do it.......

Not sure what that dysfunctional pattern comes from but God has been saying to me stop doing that...

I know what you mean......lol!......Sometimes you don't want others to think you think you know it all....But, if God is leading you to say something, you have to say it...That is where we have to take our eyes off of the opinions and fear of man......

I am so thankful that my boys are getting to see all of this. I wasn't even saved when I was their age....They love this supernatural stuff and it is really building their faith.
They are getting to see the real thing. the everyday struggle of counting coins for gas money and then having the confirmation we are right 100% in the middle of God's will...
We pray about where to go to church that each service and on the way in the car they try to predict what God is going to do... But they are being built up to expect God to show up. There is always a confirmation that we choose the right place.....

Yep...lol...sometimes I forget that not everyone has the same church backround as me. They are trying to make sense of the prophetic. This one guy was so scared because he thought God gave a prophet the gift of reading people's minds...poor guy...lol

So earlier tonight we counted out coins again.....The thing is you all can pray about the finances for us , if you like... But we have had dozens of confirmations that God has already provided for us in that....I am more interested in prayer for the inner work of trusting Him......
