CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

May I share a story that seems related to your dream?
I too was hit by the shoe part, and how Moses took off His shoes. But now for the story.
When I was at college, we were studying about Moses and how he took off his shoes because he was standing on holy ground. A friend and I were going to walk to the church to pray, as we were walking to the church, we decided to take off our shoes when we got there as if we were standing on holy ground. It was like a mental preparation. Well, when we got there, we did just that. Then we walked down the isle to the alter to pray. Before we got half way down the isle we were both on our knees.
This was the first time I had been before a holy God, in His presence and allowed Him to blow away all the chaff from my life, leaving only the needs behind. I have entered this presence on occasion since, and long to stay there though I know I can't, but it is an experience like none other. I guess my thought to you, is that if you believe the dream to be of God. Stand on holy ground and allow God to blow away all that He wants to blow away. Allow Him to reduce you to your needs only and stand amazed in His presence by what is left and who you are apart from the fleshly desires that we carry within us at all times.
May you know His touch as you stand before a Holy God.

Cannot find a ride, we cannot walk in 20 degrees.
Called ALL, even ones I disagree with theologically. None have members willing to come 1 block out of their way to pick us up.
Its almost as if God doesn't want us to go. He can open doors, I know!
