I am very excited about how alot more people are participating now, Praise the Lord!!!

I was wondering if everyone could pray for me, and share what God shows you, it will be interesting to see how different words from different people, all mesh together

You all can practice on me first and then we can move on to someone else, but lets all participate and remember

1 thess 5: 19 Do not put out the Spirit's fire; 20do not treat prophecies with contempt[do not despise]. 21Test everything. Hold on to the good.

Confirmation, around 1983, got a prochecy to devour the Word and delight in it, good reminder HBJ

Yes, SBJ, right on it, I am starting to speak like never before both preaching/teaching and prophetic at church, am overcoming shyness thru this thread, very encouraging Word brother, Hallelujah!!! All glory to Him inside you!!!!!

To all others participating, don't play off of other' words, but wait in the Spirit for specific Words from the Spirit of Christ

Both words from HBJ and SBJ were different, but both were confirmation and encouragement, Glory to Jesus

My child, I see your heart and how you rejoice when I use My children to speak to one another. And I also see how you allow Me to use you to encourage many. You are a blessing to Me and I hold you close to My heart. Know that you are safe in my bosom with my arms wrapped around you tightly. Open your eyes My child, and see the all the blessings I have sent your way. Open your eyes that I may enlighten you to deeper things in My word.

I saw a still pond. A sense of calmness, be still and know I am the Lord, the verse says.
God wants you to stop thinking about a problem, and be calm, like a pond.
He will work in the quietness.

I've made 1 or 2 requests and received 1 word in addition that was not asked for (but very much appreciated). A very close friend of mine is a pastor (pentecostal holiness). I asked him about the words I received - his response was that I would get some sort of confirmation if the prophecy was valid. It didn't seem to make a difference to him that the words I received came from an online source.

Is that kind of what you were wondering?

That is exactly what I was wondering. Thank you!

I'm happy that your pastor didn't criticize online prophecy, but at the same time, I'm sad because it looks like there's no one on this board who is in the same boat as me. You see, my pastor, even before listening to what the prophecies say, tells me to trash any prophecies I receive online because I cannot judge the person (stranger) giving the word.

To argue, I say that I judge the word, not the person. If God would confirm for me whether a word is from Him (and He always does), then why does it matter who the word giver is? I am not depending on how credible the word giver is, I'm depending on God.

I'm frustrated because there's no way to get my pastor to listen. He's a terrible listener and he despises online prophecy without any exceptions. He doesn't even bother listening to the prophecies I receive here. He just discards them just because they're from people online. He makes no effort to judge the words that are spoken.

Steven, could you please let me know if the Christian people in your life know that you get prophecies from strangers online? If so, how do they react?

You probably notice that I've been asking other people the same question, so don't think that I'm picking on you.

Hey Ahmunmun,
Actually some of my friends think it best to give prophesies to people they don't know well or don't know at all! That way we don't have our thoughts or minds getting in the way of hearing the Lord's voice.. I do think we need to be careful when it comes to prophesies and people we don't know.. but when it's in an environment of learning and we're moving in the 1 Corinthians 14:3 (edification, comfort, and confirmation) then I think we're safe enough.. although we ALL encourage each other to test each other's words when it comes to specific things! But I guess to answer your question.. we should be careful who we receive things from but I guess it just depends where you are and who you're getting it from Blessings and I hope I answered your question!

Now I feel really alone! Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that you all have friends who accept online prophecy, but I wonder why I don't have people in my life like that.

This morning, I really feel anger stirring up over my pastor for taking away the encouragement I got from people here. Imagine that, in a time that you need encouragement the most, and you receive it, someone tells you to trash it because no matter how applicable the encouragement is, it comes from a stranger!

My pastor needs some prayer, if you guys don't mind. I'm in the process of writing him a long letter to explain why his attitude is not right and how he has deeply wounded me. Also pray for me because I'm really scared that I'm going to blow up at my pastor someday.

I'm just not in the place of specifics right now.. sorry.. but be encouraged.. the Lord loves to reveal Himself and His plan for us to each one of us..
