Yay! Another roll over. And, I hardly got to say anything on number 9..man, time flies when your having fun!!

About all I can think about today is it is the day our Lord was crucified ...but I know Ressurection Sunday is a coming!

Maybe someone could answer a question about "why" it is called Good Friday? I would have thought we would call it horrible friday, or the worst friday ever...but maybe it is just the lead into HIS RESSURECTION! But, I still think it's weird to call His death day "good" friday, but that of course, is IMHO.

Well, I don't have a word today, and just in case I spend the weekend cooking and entertaining...HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER DAY!! hugs to all, your sis, hannah

It is likely that the term “Good Friday” came from the earlier English phrase, “Godes Friday,” meaning “God’s Friday.” In much the same way as “God be with ye” was shortened to “goodbye,” so did “Godes Friday” become “Good Friday.”

The thing is Jesus was actually crucified on Wednesday. But that is o.k. He wasn't born on Christmas day either....

Hi Irenemcg, It encourages me when I see you on here. Because I know you are one of those believers who is pressing for all God has for you. When the attacks come , it is nice to know there are other believers out there who are holding fast in faith.In season and out of season.That Holy determination that God has placed inside you is awesome.
I just wanted to encourage you with that...

Thanks yitz you don't know how much I needed that today, I'm not at this moment in time feeling too well and have been attacked on a few things this week, but I will press on, my God is with me and I shall stay strong in Him, for He is my refuge and my strength.

Don't worry.. I'm not grumpy about it. There are lots of inaccuracies in church tradition. But the main point is preserved.
The wise men didn't come to the manger either.It is just practical to put them in the manger scene.Jehovah isn't actually a hebrew name for God... Jesus was probably born in the summer time.

My wife tells me to just keep it to myself if I ramble on too long about this sort of thing. lol
