• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I posted a little earlier but didn't get a response but i was wondering if anyone had a word for me...

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever. This is the goodness of the Lord that is leading you from day to day. The Lord wants you to have a greater appreciation of His goodness, so that you will be more free in your praise to Him. He will give you further demonstrations of His goodness to you and those around you, and you will see that you have really good reason to praise Him. His goodness toward you does not depend on your moods or even your own view of your spiritual state. His plans for your future are full of goodness, and God's goodness transcends any other type of goodness that has ever existed. Trust in the goodness of God for you and you will never be disappointed.

I really need a word too..

God bless

They who put their trust in the Lord shall never be ashamed or disappointed. Disappointments come when we try to meet our needs in our own way and do not wait for the voice of the Lord to lead us. However, because the Lord knows about our weaknesses, He comes to us in love and gently leads us in the way we need to take. If you feel you lack the wisdom to walk more effectively in God's will, ask Him for wisdom, and He will give it to you in abundance and will not tell you off for asking. Do not be afraid to show your lack of knowledge about things to the Lord. He will not put you down for that. He knows the way we should take, and He is the same Jesus who would leave the 99 sheep and go looking for the lost lamb, bringing it home on His shoulder. He longs for you to come to Him with your struggles and concerns, so He can more deeply show you His great love for you.

Count me as another who needs a timely word.

There is a way that seems right to a person's natural mind, but there is the reminder that Jesus is the Way. Therefore, to find the will of God and the right way, we must always be in close fellowship with Jesus. When you are in the valley of decision where there are a number of forks in the road, and you cannot decide which way to take, you need to wait before the Lord until you hear His voice in your heart showing you the right way to take. If you decide in yourself to use your own natural wisdom and move out before hearing from the Lord you risk taking the wrong way. But even if you did, He would pursue you, pick you up after you have fallen, and lovingly lead you back from discouragement and despair and put you on the right road again. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, and He will direct your paths.

Good afternoon everyone! How are y'all doin' today? Hope all is well!!!!!

Oscarr, so glad to see you in here! I can just sense a strong gentle/warm/loving Spirit inside of you also. I just saw a tree with roots just digging and digging and digging down into the earth soaking in the nutrients that are spreading all through the tree. Your Spiritual roots are going to continue to grow and deepen in this season that the Lord has blessed you with. You're going to just feel refreshed. :) Hallelujah!!!

God Bless,
Josh

This is what came into my thinking when I read your question about personal failure. I think most of us old timers would say...there is no such thing as personal failure...cuz just when you think you've failed...God finds a way to use what YOU think is failure to teach you something you needed to know! AMEN!! Or maybe that failure HE needed you to do...so you could advance further into HIM and His kingdom! We all fail and miserably, but we repent, look to see what "this failure" has done, and how we think the Lord could use it or He already may have! I hope that helps a bit, for me, if I dwelled on personal failures...I would have killed myself by now..I am a queen at messing up...but HE always shows me a new path that I may have missed without the rocky road I took, til I reached HIM! :amen:

And, hello everyone. I see I missed alot...as ususual, and just could use a prayer to feel better, been in bed most of the weekend. Sad that causes me to miss out of things I may need to hear, but the Lord will guide me anyways, amen! your sis, hannah

Be Patient, Change Is Coming

by Lonnie Mackley

My dear one, I have heard your constant prayers and felt your sense of restlessness and eagerness to step into the new things that need to come, but I would call you this day to be patient because change is coming very soon. I know that things have felt empty lately like there is no life left in them, but that is because you are finished with certain old things, and you are right at the threshold of stepping into the new things that are soon to be revealed.

You have done well, and you have completed almost all of the preparation that has been necessary in order to move forward into this harvest. But I would call you this day to finish your foundation of complete repentance, and to forgive all those that have harmed you. The trials and challenges that you will soon face will require you to be without reproach, and to have nothing hidden that could be exposed and discredit the new work I am calling you to. I want you this day to let go of the past and to stop doubting in my goodness and love for you, for I am the same God that has called you and led you all the way through your long wilderness. So continue to trust Me, and do not lose heart at this critical time. I can only bless faith, so stand upon the truth that I can do all things necessary in order to help and restore you. Be found obedient and believing. So be patient My love, for change will come.

excellent, for us all!

hey all!!! Hope everyone is doing well!! Anyone has a word for me just go for it:p

You have a heart for ministry, and the Lord is leading you that way so you can be effective for Him in the things that you are doing for Him. But there are those who will tell you that you are too young, and do not have enough experience in the things of God to be able to see the power of the Holy Spirit operating through your ministry. Know this, that the Lord has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. He is not hindered by your young age, but will move through you to the extent of your faith in Him.

Doesn't the Scripture say that if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will be able to move mountains? This is the way the Lord is encouraging you to look away from yourself and look to Him as the source of power and ability to reach others for Christ.

Look at those who are saying you don't have enough experience, or are limiting you because of your age. What is limiting them to do the works of Jesus, even greater works? Is it not their own lack of faith that keeps them bound up in their formalism and fear of stepping out for God? And yet they would try to make you as unbelieving as themselves, while dressing up their words as "wise counsel"

Seek the counsel of the Lord through His Word, and you will hear the voice of God directing you to do His will for you. He will back His will with the abilities that you need. This is something that no man can teach you, but it is the anointing that you have within you that will give you the wisdom and direction to launch out and do what would be impossible if you trusted in your own strength and ability.

Would love a word !

There is only one mediator between God and mankind, and that person is Jesus Christ. Although it has been right for you to have mentors when you were first growing as a Christian, there comes a point when you need to leave those mentors behind before they start limiting your potential in the Spirit. You have the Holy Spirit in you, and He is your guide and counsellor. You don't need to go to others for your personal guidance because the Holy Spirit is sufficient for you to get the guidance you need to be an woman of God.

This does not mean that you stop being part of the body of Christ where you work in harmony with others, but you do not have to let any other person dominate you. When the voice of God comes to you and leads you in His will, you will be in harmony with those who love the Lord and who are themselves walking in the light. The ones whom you will be out of harmony with will be those who in their pride will try to dominate you and to lead you in they way they want you to go without reference or respect for the will of God for you. Turn away from these ones and do not trust their counsel.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and wait for His voice. Jesus said that His sheep know His voice and they will follow Him, but they will not follow a stranger. Those who would try to guide you according to their own will are strangers to you and you will sense in yourself that you do not wish to follow them. But when the voice of the Lord comes to you, either in your heart, or through those who love you and desire God's will for you, then you will recognise the gentle voice of the Good Shepherd and you will have the confidence to follow.
