  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

hey

i really liked the first part of that word u posted fated.
i want to spend time seeking Gods will together will yall on here, ive been lumbering through life in defeat for a long time now and i really want to seek God first and foremost now.
This?

And behold, fear had struck the powerful, for their mind was filled with the exceptional tragedy, which they had learnt to hold so close unto their heart.
I'll adjust it and see if it still fits:

And behold, fear had struck the powerful, for their mind was filled with the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which they had learnt to hold so close unto their heart.
Fear might seem to some like a strange sentiment here, can I get a word?

I feel like God is calling me to go on a mission trip next year. My church is sending out teams to a few different locations. I'm still unsure about which location God is wanting me to go to next year. If anyone gets a word for me about a location I would love to hear it. In the meantime, I will keep praying and listening for his direction. :)

Why we should love him:

... "God", he said continuing his homily, "is the true wisdom that never ages, He is the authentic wealth that does not decay, He is the joy to which the depth of each human heart aspires. This truth, which runs through the Books of Wisdom and re-emerges in the New Testament, reaches fulfilment in the life and teaching of Jesus. From the perspective of evangelical wisdom, death itself brings beneficial guidance because it forces us to look reality in the face, it compels us to recognise the transience of what appears so great and strong to the eyes of the world. In the face of death all reasons for human pride fall away, and what is really worthwhile emerges".
"All of us in this world are passing through, because all of us are creatures. In a word, none of us is God. To recognise this difference between us and Him is the primary condition for being with Him and in Him. It is also a condition for becoming like Him, but only by welcoming the grace of His free gift".
"If God", the Holy Father went on, "loved us freely, we too can (and therefore must) allow ourselves to be involved in this oblatory movement, and make of ourselves a free gift for others. In this way we know God as we are known by Him, ... and we pass from death to life like Jesus Christ, Who defeated death with His resurrection thanks to the heavenly Father's glorious power of love".
"This Word of life and hope is of great comfort to us as we face the mystery of death, especially when it strikes people who are dear to us. The Lord today assures us that our lamented brethren, for whom we are praying in a special way in this Mass, passed from death to life because they chose Christ ... and consecrated themselves to the service of others. And therefore, even if they have to accept their share of redress due to human frailty - which marks us all, helping to keep us humble - their faithfulness to Christ allows them to enter into the freedom of the children of God".
"Let us pray that we, pilgrims upon the earth, always keep our hearts and eyes turned towards the final goal to which we all aspire, the House of the Father, Heaven".

Praying for you to be directed to the right place, to hear the voice of God on this. IRIS ministries and Mozambique came to my mind but let it be the Lord you hear from, not us.

1Co 12:31 I want you to desire the best gifts. So I will show you a much better way.

1Co 13:1 What if I could speak all languages of humans and of angels? If I did not love others, I would be nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1Co 13:2 What if I could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge? And what if I had faith that moved mountains? I would be nothing, unless I loved others.
1Co 13:3 What if I gave away all that I owned and let myself be burned alive? I would gain nothing, unless I loved others.
1Co 13:4 Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or
1Co 13:5 rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do.
1Co 13:6 Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil.
1Co 13:7 Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
1Co 13:8 Love never fails! Everyone who prophesies will stop, and unknown languages will no longer be spoken. All that we know will be forgotten.
1Co 13:9 We don't know everything, and our prophecies are not complete.
1Co 13:10 But what is perfect will someday appear, and what isn't perfect will then disappear.
1Co 13:11 When we were children, we thought and reasoned as children do. But when we grew up, we quit our childish ways.
1Co 13:12 Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror. Later we will see him face to face. We don't know everything, but then we will, just as God completely understands us.
1Co 13:13 For now there are faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love.

A few thoughts on this. My Pastor was speaking on this on Sunday morning.

This chapter is sandwiched right between chapters 12 and 14. Both chapters are relating to the gifts of the Spirit.

Do you see the place love takes and this isn't ordinary fleshly love Paul is writing about- it's agape Love- that God kind of love.

The fullness of the Godhead indwells you and I so we have a deposit of Godlike love, Godlike faith and hope because they are given to us from God Himself.

Need a word about whether God will come through, as I will not testify of His power unless he does something.

How many times has God come through for you in the past? Praise Him even when you are facing your greatest struggle. If all He ever did for you was save your soul He would be worthy of your deepest praise! Take a journey back to the cross Rose and praise the Lord!
He longs to hear your praises, He longs for you to come truly believing that what He has promised He will deliver.

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.(KJV)

Greek
σωτηρία
sōtēria
so-tay-ree'-ah
Feminine of a derivative of G4990 as (properly abstract) noun; rescue or safety (physically or morally): - deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.

The Greek word "salvation" gives us deliverance, safety, preservation, healing and soundness. So I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation, safety, healing, preservation, and soundness.

Psa 35:9 And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. (KJV)

Hebrew
ישׁוּעה
yeshû‛âh
yesh-oo'-aw
Feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: - deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.

The Hebrew word above too shows that the word means salvation of the whole person.

Rev 1: 3 Blessed is the one 2 who reads aloud and blessed are those who listen to this prophetic message and heed what is written in it, for the appointed time is near.

Thanks fated!

I'll have to pray more about this. ;):D I think I know what it means but it's a little blurry to me right now. :D

God Bless,
Josh

This is interesting...the country that popped into my head first was Africa.
