Good morning everyone! Hope you are all having a great and blessed day!
So guess what? hahaha...I was talking to my mother last night about college. Oh joy. hahaha. I want to go to a Church of God College here in town and she doesn't want me going there, until now. I've been highlighting courses and writing down the degrees I want to get and my mom said,"Other colleges you've looked at don't have want you want right?" I said, "You are correct." So my Methodist momma is gonna let me go to a Pentecostal college. haha. Which again, doesn't make sense because they are Pentecostal ALL the way and you have to go to Chapel 3 times a week and as you guys know she wont even let me go to a Pentecostal church. hahaha.

Anyway, we started talking about my degrees. I told her the main one I'm going to get is one in Pastoral Ministry. (I'm going to double major and get some minors...haha..Yep I'm gonna be in school a while but oh well...hahahaha) Then my mom said (regarding the 150 hour internship you have to do and your supervisor will place you at a church or you can pick a church and have it okayed by everyone...lol), "Josh, we go to a Methodist church." You can imagine what I was thinking when she said that. LOL. I said, "Mom, just because I'm going into the ministry doesn't mean I'm going to be Methodist. I am not going to be preaching in the Methodist church when I'm a pastor." And then there was silence. LOL....

I told her why I perfer the Pentecostal church over the Methodist church. I told her my exact reasons why I dislike the Methodist church for example I mentioned...

Views on Israel, Abortion, Gay-Marriage
Not Spirit-filled
Don't believe in the gifts of the Holy Ghost
Services aren't led by the Holy Ghost
Worshipping is confined so that you can only do certain things (like clap and raise your hands) but I'm gonna change that because I'm TIRED of just staying still all the time. haha

Yeah and this is getting way to long so I'm gonna quit typing. lol...

And, I read that the forum was offline again yesterday...I was feeling too blue to come on in and even check out what was going on in here, and I still can only read to page 112, which there are many more pages listed after that number...so anyone know why?

And, I am still sad....we "had" to put down our very sick last of four cats today...so I be blue, but still PRAISING HIM...no matter what, amen!

HD, I have to say...I was surprised when I came on here to find you still online..didn't you say....they cut off your cable...or ooops...you have dial-up? Yeah, Hillsong played a HUGE role in my coming back to Christ several years ago. I love their music and have been fortunate enough to see them in person several times. Brian Houston seems pretty cool, too.

HD, It is just as Mark said, God isn't doing this. I have not said much lately, but have been watching and following what has been happening with you and your situation. I know someone mentioned to you about the negative words coming from your mouth, and I'd like to add something to that. You cannot say negative things and expect God to move in your life. In other words, you cannot have a divided heart. God says this type of person is a double minded person and they shall not receive anything from God. You cannot pray and ask Him to help you, and then say well, I guess He just wants me to suffer before He helps ...To say something like that would be making a mockery of Christ on the cross. Standing there saying, I'm sorry, Jesus, what you did on that cross just isn't enough for me. I know what Your word says, but I just don't believe it today.
Sometimes God doesn't help us because He wants us to do something ourselves, and many times it's just a change of mind and heart.

I can say these things to you because I've been where you are. Is my life ok? Is my life perfect ? Not by a long shot, and I've got more problems going on right now than I know how to handle. But you know what? I've got a God on my side that I know will help me and come to my rescue, He's never late, never early, always right on time. I would almost say that there are some very important lessons that God needs for you to learn, and until you do, you will continue to go around this mountain. God did not bring this upon you, you did this yourself, HD. You did it by choices you made, and now you are reaping the consenquences of those actions.

Again, as I said to you in an earlier post, I am not trying to be mean, nor be a negative voice, but I am only trying to speak some truth in love in your life. Sometimes growing up is hard, HD, but when we grow up in Him, He's there for us to lean on. Jeremiah 29:11 says He has a good plan for your life, plans for hope and a future, not for evil. But all of God's promises have conditions, He says IF you do this that I ask of you, I'll do this for you.

I pray you find your way over that mountain soon.

Josh, I have to say this to you. You always bring a smile to my face. You are full of the joy of the Lord, and His zeal. There are some other things that I feel God wants me to say, but I'm still letting them form in my mind.. But this was just something I wanted you to know from my heart. Mark, I totally agree and I think we have all been in that ugly place where we "feel" lost and alone and wondering where is God.

But...one thing for sure...I know HE will show up! And, HD remember...it "IS" the enemy of the Lord who walks about seeking to whom he should devour...let's pray you don't fall prey to that lie! That scroundrel from days of old...knows exactly how and when to shift your eyes off of our Lord...and knows how to make you blame Him for your troubles...all the while..he is desending you into his pit.

I am praying that you don't let him take you down...and that the LORD COME AND SUPPLY YOUR NEEDS, AMEN! your sis, hannah
