How much emphasis do you (or whatever church you belong to) put on the actual writings in the Bible?

There have been a number of threads lately disputing what might or might not be of God and how it relates to the Bible, so it got me wondering this and some other things.

I have an information session at our local hospital on Wednesday morning, your Tuesday.
This will be my way in to pray for those in need, praying it will be easy to get in.
Hopefully with Gods help I will be able to start doing what I believe He has planned for me.

OHHHHH hedge of protection!!! I finally understand, my Dad prays for a hedge of protection around my brother and I everyday but I have never understood what he meant. I always thought he was saying 'place your heads of protection' and I never could understand what he meant.
