There are God proofs, but in debates we call them "arguments". So, we are inviting unbelievers to argue (the word "argue" is like the "argu-ment"). Let the opposer-s call our proofs the "arguments". Do you say in school: "the argument of Pythagorean theorem is following...."?!

If a cat evolved into a dog it would disprove the theory of evolution no matter how many generations it took.
Unless the idea is that a cat could evolve into a dog-like animal, which is possible (though unlikely); evolution to fit a dog-like ecological role and niche through convergent evolution, as in the Thylacine.

... you are saying that we can prove evolution and its not just a theory? show me what you mean by that.
In science, what is generally called a theory in common parlance is called a hypothesis. The scientific meaning of 'theory' is different - see Not 'Just a Theory'.

Funny how they tag abiogenesis as natural when they can't observe it happening in nature nor force nature into making it happen in a lab.
If you take a scientific approach, you can only look for naturalistic explanations; if you can't find such an explanation, the phenomena remain unexplained.

In the case of abiogenesis, we don't know the exact conditions that would have given rise to life, and organic chemistry is extremely complex, so it's a particularly difficult field. But we're learning new things all the time - new potential environments such as deep hot smokers, and whole new areas of chemistry such as clay surface/interface organic chemistry. And a lot of progress has been made - self assembling vesicles that grow and divide, nucleic acids, amino acids, and lipids, metabolic pathways, protein folding, RNA precursors, etc., etc.

The implication that if something can't be observed today or reproduced in the lab today it didn't happen, is absurd. Good science takes time and patience.

People do strange things when career, prestige and especially money are involved.
Newsflash: big carreers, perstige and especially money, doesn't go to the "grey mouse" scientists who does not original research and merely just confirms the consensus and upholds the status quo.

Instead, in science, career, prestige, prizes, money and immortality through name is reserved for those people who prove all their collegues to be wrong and/or who succeed in explaining what nobody before them could.

This is why we all know who Darwin, Einstein, Newton, Farraday, Hubble, Feynman, Hawkings, etc are and why probably NONE of you know who Vanderborght is.

(Vanderborght is a friend of mine and an active scientist who does research and publishes papers, but who hasn't done anything ground breaking nore original [yet]).

Now, if Vanderborght would prove later today that Evolution theory is inadequate and/or that ID is actually correct.... Then tomorrow ALL OF YOU will know who he is.
Not to mention that a couple weeks from now, he'ld be rewarded a nobel prize and most likely, he'ld be able to move out of his mother's house and into a nice villa while also selling his Opel Astra and buy a nice Range Rover or Tesla instead.

Also: whenever one has to appeal to some kind of grand conspiracy among millions of people, all kinds of alarm bells go off.

The hypothesis describes a natural process. Nobody is saying that the hypothesis is correct.
It seems dishonest to suggest otherwise.

Science looks for natural causes for natural phenomena. It's what it does.
And not because of some bias, but because it is the only thing it CAN do.

If there were ways to investigate non-natural phenomena, it would do it...

But as many threads here confirm - no such methods exist.

In fact, it is so bad that it's even impossible to confirm that non-natural events even happen in the first place!

Science is myopic.

not in this case. in this case evolution is just a belief. you believe that a fish evolved into a human. you cant test it or prove it.

So how do you think humans came to be? So far you haven't said.

Note the use of plurals. A fish cannot evolve into a human.
