NOTHING can ever constitute evidence for design if it involves the concept of a god or God. However, if you replace the word God with the word "alien" or "aliens" as in the film 2001 a Space Odyssey or an AI, as is in one of Isaac Asimov's short stories where an AI does create the universe, then your suggestion would stand a chance.
