Promise

Jehovah Keeps all His Promises
1Ki 8:56 Blessed be the LORD, that has given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he (Jehovah) promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

Jehovah Remembers His Holy Promise
Psa 105:42 For he (Jehovah) remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

Jesus to Send the Holy Spirit
Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you (Apostles): but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high.

Apostles to be Baptized with the Holy Spirit

Act 1:4 And, being assembled together with them (Apostles), commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, says he, you have heard of me. Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

The Father Keeps His Promise of the Holy Spirit

Act 2:33 Therefore (Jesus) being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear. Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, Act 2:35 Until I make your foes your footstool. Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

God Gives Jesus the SURE MERCIES OF DAVID
Act 13:32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, Act 13:33 God has fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he (God) has raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you. Act 13:34 And as concerning that he (God) said on this wise, I will give you (Jesus) the sure mercies of David.

The Promise of God to the Fathers of the Jews

Act 26:6 And now I (Paul) stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: Act 26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

The Seed of Abraham are Heirs of the World
Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. Rom 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Rom 4:15 Because the law works wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Rom 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickens the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were. Rom 4:18 Who (Abraham) against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall your seed be. Rom 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the dead womb of Sara: Rom 4:20 He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

The Word of Promise Sara will have a Son

Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your seed be called. Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Rom 9:9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

Christians Sealed with that Holy Spirit of Pomise

Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us (Christians) the mystery of his (God) will, according to his good pleasure which he (God) has purposed in himself: Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he (God) might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Eph 1:11 In whom (Christ) also we (Christians) have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him (God) who works all things after the counsel of his (God) own will: Eph 1:12 That we (Christians) should be to the praise of his (God) glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:13 In whom (Christ) you (Christians) also trusted, after that you (Christians) heard the word of truth, the gospel of your (Christians) salvation: in whom (Christ) also after that you (Christians) believed, you (Christians) were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Through Christ Christians are the Seed Abraham

Gal 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulls, or adds thereto. Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Christ. Gal 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serves the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Gal 3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Gal 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Gal 3:22 But the scripture has concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Gal 3:26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized (by the Holy Spirit) into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:29 And if you (Saints) be Christ's, then are you Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The Blood of Christ puts Christians under the Promise

Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; Eph 2:12 That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his (Christ) flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Those Born of the Free-Woman Receive the Promise

Gal 4:21 Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? Gal 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bond-maid, the other by a free-woman. Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the free-woman was by promise. Gal 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendered to bondage, which is Agar. Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Gal 4:27 For it is written, Rejoice, you barren that bears not; break forth and cry, you that travails not: for the desolate has many more children than she which has an husband. Gal 4:28 Now we (Christians), brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. Gal 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what says the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free-woman. Gal 4:31 So then, brethren (Christians), we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Christians are made Partakers of the Promise of God

Eph 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Eph 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Eph 3:7 Whereof I (Paul) was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

The Promise of Eternal Live

1Ti 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise yourself rather unto godliness. 1Ti 4:8 For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Christ Hold the Promise of Life

2Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

A Promise left to Christians

Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us (Christians) of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Heb 4:3 For we (Christians) which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

God Promised Abraham

Heb 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself, Heb 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless you (Abraham), and multiplying I will multiply you. Heb 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he (Abraham) obtained the promise. Heb 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Heb 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability (not changing) of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

Christians need to Remain Confident

Heb 10:35 Cast not away therefore your (Christians) confidence, which has great recompense of reward. Heb 10:36 For you (Christians) have need of patience, that, after you (Christians) have done the will of God, you might receive the promise. Heb 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

By Faith Promises of God are Fulfilled

Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Heb 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city (New Jerusalem) which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Heb 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who (God) had promised.

The Eternal Mist of Darkness
2Pe 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.2Pe 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 2Pe 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

2 Peter 2:19 KJV — While they(denominations) $promise$ them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Luke 22:6 KJV — And he(Judas) $promised$, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

Matthew 26:15 KJV — And said unto them, What will ye give me(Judas/disciple/apostle), and I will deliver him unto you? And they *covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Christians to be Mindful of the Spoken Word
2Pe 3:2 That you (Christians) may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior: 2Pet 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Christians Looking for New Heavens and New Earth

2Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any (Saint) should perish, but that all (Saints) should come to repentance.2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we (Christians), according to his (God) promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

Christians Promised Eternal Life

1Jn 2:24 Let that (Holy Spirit) therefore abide in you (Christian), which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you (Christian) have heard from the beginning shall remain (Eph 4:30) in you (Christian), you (Christian) also shall continue in the Son (Jesus), and in the Father. 1Jn 2:25 And this is the promise that he has promised us (Christian), even eternal life. 1Jn 2:26 These things have I written unto you (Christian) concerning them that seduce you (Christian). 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which you (Christian) have received of him (God) abides in you (Christian), and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you (Christian) of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you (Christian), you shall abide in him.
