This is still a christian forum. Also I am using the Bible to defend creationism.Ishmael Borg said:Why do we have to put up with this in the science forum?
You were not defending creationism. You were attacking evolutionISTS.JohnR7 said:This is still a christian forum. Also I am using the Bible to defend creationism.
I'd love to discuss your participation in this forum with Erwin. Anytime. I see this a lot from you lately: "Erwin, Erwin, Erwin, -attack- Erwin -attack- Erwin". Do you really think I would be devastated if I was to be deprived of the privilege of reading your incessant drivel? Your posts are juvenile, irrelevant, and nauseatingly predictable (please don't bother with your typical "thanks for telling us about yourself" crud; it should've been stopped long ago). Why don't we have a talk with Erwin to see what he thinks about it?
Do you think he is going to object to people quoting the Bible?
Greek and Roman thinking (Greek particularly) has had a massive impact on all of Western culture, don't think Christians or creationists are excluded from this.JohnR7 said:This passage comes from a letter Paul wrote to the Romans. Then why don't you go over to the forum he posts on and have a talk with him?Ishmael Borg said:I'd love to discuss your participation in this forum with Erwin. Anytime.
You made the threat, oh dimwitted one. Bring him in. From your posts, it sounds like you have pot-roast with him twice-weekly. C'mon, let's have a discussion.JohnR7 said:Then why don't you go over to the forum he posts on and have a talk with him?
I did not make myself very clear. What I was meaning to say is that some of the false teaching today that we find in science goes back to the Romans and the Greeks. Early church fathers argued against it. Even Paul's letter to the Romans came up against some of their false beliefs.revolutio said:Greek and Roman thinking (Greek particularly) has had a massive impact on all of Western culture, don't think Christians or creationists are excluded from this.
What do you want to have a discussion with him about?Ishmael Borg said:C'mon, let's have a discussion.
JohnR7 said:Romans 1:22-25
Professing to be wise, they became fools, [23] and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. [24] Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, [25] who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Here is a passage that maybe difficult for some people to understand. But it does talk about a people who profess to be wise, when in fact they have become fools. Why? Because they do not know God. Their image of God has become corruption. They are filled with man made opinions that do not reflect God at all. So, they know nothing about God & they do not know the truth.
The result is, their image or theorys about God's creation becomes corrupted also. They exchange the truth of God for a lie. Not only in regard to the Creator, but in regard to creation also.
This was going on in Paul's day, almost 2000 years ago, and it continues to go on today. This passage comes from a letter Paul wrote to the Romans. Even today, Greek and Roman thinking has a impact on people who reject God and reject their Creator.
Then they will loudly proclaim: Evolution is not atheism! Read what the passage says again:
Romans 1:22-23
Professing to be wise, they became fools, [23] and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
They do not DENY God, they just change their image of God into a image of corruption. They make God in man's corrupted image. Their thoughts, theorys, and opinions of God are corrupted.
Just as they have become corrupted in their image of their Creator, so they have become corrupted in their image of the creation and how God created.
Actually I'd love to have a talk with Erwin about off-topic trolling.JohnR7 said:This is still a christian forum. Also I am using the Bible to defend creationism.

Yes. Ask him anything. Bring him on.JohnR7 said:What do you want to have a discussion with him about?
Do you want to ask him if it is ok for me to quote the Bible on here?
Poor girl. Her only outlet is a fool like you...You know my wife is always asking me to do this stuff for her also.
But in her case, English is her second language so at least she has a pretense of a excuse.
My complaint is that most of your posts don't belong in this forum, because you are an idiot, and you seem to know as little about theology as you do about science. Bring Erwin on, you name-dropping fool.Just what is your complaint so I can present your case to Erwin for you.
She is not complaining, she knows a good thing when she sees it.Ishmael Borg said:Poor girl. Her only outlet is a fool like you...

Larry said:Again, completely out of context.
The 'wisdom' refered to, is in the context of spirituality, morality and seeking God's will in our lives, (or in this case, the lack thereof). It has absolutely nothing to do with the sciences, auto mechanics, indoor plumbing, cooking, reading, writing, math or other such knowledge.
How many times do I have to remind you of this before it sinks in, John?
Could you be specific on these beliefs?JohnR7 said:I did not make myself very clear. I would hate to tell you but that is definately not the case. Pythagoras was Greek, and his equationI did not make myself very clear. Some people believed that he sold the books to help pay for his conquest and then burned the library to cover up for it.Valkhorn said:if Ceasar wasn't responsible for the destruction of the great Library of Alexandria...
Oh, I see, so what do you think the cut off point should be? Only people with masters degrees need to apply? Then perhaps we can let someone really special like Lucas in here, so they can worship the ground that he walks on. So we can put a sign up that says only ignorant people need apply, illiterate people are not welcome, stay out, go post elsewhere.Ishmael Borg said:Because you are scientifically illiterate.
Wisdom has nothing to do with science? You said it, not me.Larry said:The 'wisdom' refered to, is in the context of spirituality, morality and seeking God's will in our lives, (or in this case, the lack thereof). It has absolutely nothing to do with the sciences Awaiting your reply, John.
