I seem to be having an odd issue with my XP at the moment.

It's pretty hard to describe. Normally i could easily fix this issue myself but somehow that's not working. I do have a little tecnical know how.

I hadn't made any changes to the way i log in or sign out of the computer, yet those colorful icons disappeared and was replaced with a more "classic" view. Note: i've been trying to change this back, like i said its normally easy.

I'll post a screen shot. I did sort out an issue where it wanted me to sign in when i log in (in the classic way or the networking view) which i felt i didnt need. I am the only user.

Im wondering if this is a bug? This only happened recently, i've been fine for weeks after installing XP on my new computer. It changed itself because i sure don't remember changing it. I didn't even mess with it and if i do mess with them i change them back with ease.

Please bear in mind, i understand technical stuff well but i don't understand technical language.

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Open User Accounts. (Click user accounts again if you're on category mode)
3. Click Change the way users log on or off.
4. Check the Use the Welcome screen check box.

Thankyou. I already knew how to do that though. Look at original post.

Update: How odd you were right. But i came here a million times before and it wasn't there...

I've been using a computer forever, i've know how to do heck of a lot yet i may have missed a tiny detail?
