I struggle with having lustful thoughts and also struggle not to look at porn. I need prayer that God will give me the strength to be able to overcome it because I can not do it by myself. Thank you.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Brother, I have been dealing with this myself for about 14 years....its hard, i totally understand. To be honest, I never thought looking at it would be as additive as it is but it is something you have to meditate on. I can't really give you any advice because I would be a hypocrite but I can pray. I believe it is one of the devils strongest hold on christian men. In a way, its ruined parts of my life.....keep praying for strength and he will deliver!
Lord, I pray that you help brother housemd and many other men who struggle everyday with the lust and pornography addiction. Give us peace and understanding why it is wrong and to overcome this sin, Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Praying you love God more than these, that you learn to love them with pure love, and understand they have an eternal soul in need of salvation, and that they become precious souls to you, and that you make and keep a covenant with your eyes, that you not look on a woman with lust, and that you learn to hide God's word in your heart, that you do not sin against Him.

I will join you all in this struggle and pray for us. This is indeed one of the greatest challenges and I struggle daily to find a lasting remedy. If there is one I hope it becomes known and soon.
