  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Unfortunately, since I've started college I've gained weight and went up a few pants sizes, which I hate. I used to work out on our treadmill before I had to leave for school back in high school, and I want to get back into my old routine so I can lose the extra weight.

However, I work at a concession stand at a movie theatre, often during the day, and I'm on my feet for hours. I usually end up in pain and when I come home my legs and feet are aching for a good while, so jogging is out of the question then. I work most of the week, so my only solution is getting up early to work out. But then I wasn't sure if this would just serve to wear my legs out faster during the day. I know execrcise can be very energizing, but I was wondering if it would end up causing more pain and problems for me later on? I was fine when I did it before school because I was sitting all day, but I'm not entirely sure how my body is going to react to a bout of strenuous exercise and then fairly long periods of being on my feet.

I'm sure there are other people here that have to deal with physically taxing jobs, so I was wondering how other people deal with it and when they find time to exercise?

Stop talking and making excuses, and start exercising in the mornings. Do something that doesn't fatigue your legs. You will hurt less because you're in better shape and not carrying around all the extra weight... but I'm pretty sure you know all this and you simply need a kick in the (big) butt! Now get going!!!
