Probably a silly question, but I need to know...

I'm going on a trip next week to Florida, and my brother wants me to take my Nintendo Gamecube along. I just bought the thing a couple months ago. I'm probably going to put it in a bag and take it in as a carry-on and I'm worried that when it goes through the X-ray machine it can potentially damage my new console.

Am I goofy, or can it seriously damage it? Thanks.

hmmm...my brother brought it home before. ...i'm not sure if he brought it as a carry-on though.
anyways...i'm not really sure about the x-ray machines.
don't they put luggage that goes underneath also through the x-ray machine also?

Well cant say ive taken a consol on a flight, but I HAVE taken Laptops on MANY flights, always as hand luggage. Never been hurt by X-rays

DO NOT... I REPEAT DO NOT put it in the hold. Have you seen the way the bags get thrown arround?

The company that I used to work for in the UK purchased a Metal flight case for out video projector.

After one trip the flight case was totally dented in and the projhector inside was damaged.

DO NOT RISK THE HOLD! Hand luggage or just dont take it.

Yup...take care with it! X-rays will be OK; but a broken GameCube will mean you never get to play Pikmin again; and that would be a real loss!
