"Sexual incompatibility" is a catch phrase created by people with selfish and worldly motives. It is not part of God's language, that's for sure.

Not surprising, since in God's language, pretty much anything sexual has been demonized for centuries. As an end result of all the unecessary taboos, feelings of guilt, fear, and sexual propriety, we end up with sexually maladjusted individuals.

One of the chief causes of divorce is sexual incompatibility. Even if it is not the main reason, it is often one of the big reasons that leads to divorce.

The chief cause of divorce is ungodliness on the part of partners with worldly and selfish motives.

The chief cause of divorce is money. Not too much or not enough money; the way you view and handle it. Sex is so secondary or tertiary on the reasons for divorce!

Also--the people thinking money (or lack of) is the cause of divorce, I think it's due to the husband not helping out around the house.

I think it is due to no cooked meal available and too much pizza, especially pepperoni, for dinner.

...and yet even with the sky-high rates of sex before marriage we're seeing high divorce rates... but at least we're not seeing the sky-high rates of abuse we had before divorce was common...

Perhaps a better plan would be to focus on marriage as a life-long commitment, a deep friendship-with-benifits between two people. Marriage isn't just sex... yet so many people want to reduce it to that. It is a life-long friendship, a commitment to (generally) make a family together, whether that be with children or without.

This focus on sex just gets to where we are... divorce. Society focuses on marriage as two things: the huge wedding and the sex. The other issues - financial, friendship, bonding, activities in common - just seem to be forgotten. Maybe if couples focused on all the life-long things that keep a marriage together we'd have longer, happier marriages all around...
