Did anyone watch the first episode? I did and was pretty impressed with the tension and drama already stirred up. I think it's going to be a pretty good show.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We watched it and really enjoyed it. Parts of it seemed a little contrived, but it was easy to suspend disbelief to get past those parts because the drama unfolding was really engaging. That last scene just about made me lose my dinner... I had to turn away. *shudder*
And yet I can't wait to see more!

A month or two ago I finished reading a book called You Got Nothing Coming: Notes From a Prison Fish. It was a true story about an intelligent and generally law-abiding guy (except for one huge detail) who was incarcerated in a maximum security prison in Nevada.
Several of the lines and situations in that show seem to have been lifted directly from that book.
For example:
The semi-literate cellmate who asks the intelligent guy to spell words for him.
The phrase "you got nothing coming."
The cellie explaining who owns which areas of the yards.
etc.
It's a great show, BTW!

I watched the encore last night on fox and love it!!! I just happened to be off from work and was sitting in front of the T.V. chillin and saw it. It reminds me of Oz that was on HBO, which I also liked. It like how you have to try to figure out what he is doing. The deal with the screw from the bench and use it for the screw on the toilet, was good.

Just to let you know, it's repeating TONIGHT this week, because FOX is starting their fall season on Thursday. It's on either before or after House tonight, I can't remember which, so either 8:00 or 9:00 Eastern. Hope you don't miss it!

I've missed them all except the pilot episode. I rarely have the chance to watch TV during prime time these days. Also can't seem to remember to set the VCR to tape these shows.

If they just did it like a mini-series I think it would work better. Cause really all I want to see if them break out of prison and solve the crime - after that I think I'd loose interest.

The plan, according to the producers, is to have season one about the prison break, and season two about life on the run / solving who really committed the murder. They likened it to The Fugitive after season one.

I like what I see so far, but the one thing I find distracting is how long can they drag this plot out for? It seems like once they accomplish the goal of escaping the show would be over, so how long do they go on plotting?
