  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Something about them never having to lift a finger as long as they live while they are being fawned over in every interaction they have makes it impossible to view what they do as work. Now’s the part where Lizzy cosplaying as an ambulance driver come up right?
She was never an ambulance driver to my knowledge.

They must long for people to be normal with them.
I would guess they just hang out with people who don't fawn, on their own time anyway.
Normal is not a word I generally use about human beings, there is no reliable definition.

Yes, a life of luxury and deference must wear on one so.

Can’t be longing too hard with the lack of abdications to live normal private lives.
Well, I'd get fed up with it pretty soon, as well as not liking having my life organised by others. (A minor royal might not be too bad though. ) Obviously, there are much worse jobs, but that doesn't mean that they don't work and many of them have too high a sense of duty to abdicate.

We're not going to agree so let's agree to differ.

Yes. when they.can. I think it's when they are at Balmoral that they can be more informal.
She was never an ambulance driver to my knowledge.
As Princess Elizabeth, she drove them and served as a mechanic, in the later stages of WWII.

I made it up from Bradskii 's post #9 - "entitled non entity loses some titles. Oh no!" I am sorry you ended up trying to Google it, it is just an abbreviation of "entitled non entity oh no", and in future will be used by me as a humorous, and harmless disrepectful way to refer to A.Windsor.
Whut? I'm the instigator of an internet term? Alas, I don't think it has the legs of a Godwin's Law...

No, I do not use social media. It is not about to fall into common use or anything. You did nothing but entertain a couple of neurons in my brain, and they are still amused.

Shame. I was going to split the royalties with you.

Personally I think that punishment would be prison.
With prison overcrowding in the UK the government are desperately trying to avoid sending people to prison, or indeed releasing even potentially dangerous criminals early. It was reported in the news yesterday that a prisoner who was released early went on to commit murder. Had he been kept in to term, the murder would not have occurred.

There's an allegation against Andrew Windsor concerning decades old sexual abuse, the complainant now sadly having killed herself. And there would be no cell available to send him to, even if he were found guilty. Human beings trying to police themselves, create a mess.

Many seek an audience with a ruler, but it is from the LORD that one gets justice (Proverbs 29:26)

Kind Regards.

A. Windsor has not actually been deemed guilty of anything by a court, prison overcrowding has nothing to do with it.

He is guilty of inapropriate behaviour as a working member of the British royal family, and King Charles has decided to act accordingly.

There's an allegation against Andrew Windsor concerning decades old sexual abuse,
Correct, an allegation exists, not a guilty verdict, a complaint.

Yes. He's being penalized on the basis of allegations. And he's unlikely to get a day in court, allegations or not, because the court/prison system is close to collapse and the witness is deceased.

My post does say he is guilty of behaving in a manner that is not appropriate for an HRH, all the King has done is act on that.

Andrew seems *exactly* the kind of person who would be a "royal".

It's just as well that a royal title cannot be lost for adultery, or Charles would be in the soup. Kind Regards.

He can vote now...good grief.

"While a highly unprecedented move, Andrew could choose to shift from Palace to politics as he is indeed able to vote.

Mr Hardman stressed that though it is unlikely he would vote, 'he could stand for the local council in Norfolk' and 'do something useful'.

Making light of a scenario in which a former Prince could stand for a role in public office, he added: 'I'm not sure he'd get many votes'."

I would be amusing to see him finish below Count Binface.

Andrew Summoned by Congress Over Jeffrey Epstein Relationship

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been ordered to appear before members of Congress in Washington, D.C., for questioning about his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. [however, a subpoena would require some GOP help]

In a letter sent Thursday to the former Duke of York, Democratic members of the House Committee on Oversight said they believe he may have key information about Epstein’s co-conspirators and enablers.

The letter requests Andrew respond by November 20.

There is no guarantee the committee will ever see Andrew testify face-to-face before them after past efforts by the D.O.J. to force Andrew's testimony appeared to end in failure in 2020.

However, the very fact they are demanding his attendance places huge pressure on King Charles III, who has offered Andrew accommodation within the Sandringham Estate and some financial support.
